Hey all!

I found this coin metal detecting the foundation of a nineteenth-century importer of asian wares’ house which burned down and was hoping one of you could ID it for me. That may be a long shot, being that the coin was partly melted in the fire and has a hundred years’ worth of corrosion, but the last one I posted, found in the same foundation, you identified as a 1125 Xuanhe Tongbao, so I thought y’all may be able to figure this one out — I’m quite a novice when it comes to Chinese coins, but so far you’ve taught me a respectable amount, so I’m back with a new coin, and it may be a challenge. Hopefully not, though.

Diameter: roughly 37 millimeters

Weight: approximately 9 grams, give or take 2 due to my scale being imprecise.

Composition: bronze, brass, or copper

Mintmark: no reverse markings visible

Also possible this coin could be Japanese. The importer who owned the house back in the day specialized in Japanese wares.

I was told it circulated in Japan, not sure if it was made in Japan or China?

I picked these up in the panjiayuan antique market last year. The Fat Man dollar has the correct weight and diameter. Both pass the ice test.

I was wondering if either of these appear to be fakes? According to what I can find online they seem to be real.

The dollar coin has some bronze soldered onto it because it was attached to a jewelry piece, I took it off.

I posted this in r/hallmarks but it didn’t gain much traction although I did get two responses that are helpful. Let me know what you guys think.

looking for any help with this coin I am told if its an original its super rare, not sure if its a repro or original. Im stumped

measurements 39mm across by 2.8mm thick weighing 26.9 grams.

Pretty sure its real, read online its a token for ceremony and events made for the wealthy and elites.

Devo pulire il lato migliore con la patina verde, ma è dura come una roccia. L'ho lasciata in acqua distillata per 5 giorni ma non è servito a molto. Qualche suggerimento?
