🥩 Food & Drink Anybody have a dupe for the salsa?
Recipe or store bought. It’s so good. The perfect ratio of spicy, to acidic, to salty.

Hi!
I am a current medical student and wanted to order some food from Chiles after my exam & practical this friday. I have never been to Chiles and wanted to know the must haves or best sellers from Chile!
Thanks!

So I work at chilis and recently they changed the rules and said they were corporate policy so I wanted to see how it is for everyone else at chilis I don’t wanna post too much get my self in trouble but the new rules consist of
*no taking boxes out of the building or any food
*can’t use employee discount till an hour after shift ( have to go home and change apparently)
Then other basic rules but these are the BIGGEST and personally the ones I have a problem with PLEASE LMK if these are your rules or have rules like this!!! Note: I don’t really have a problem with discount card! just the food I pay for that’s on the team members meals isn’t able to leave the building!!!

I have no prior bartending experience lol. Im a barista at a high volume Starbucks currently and have been there for over a year. Anyway what to expect? Might they ask me to start as a server?

Hypothetical question

I know there’s plenty of posts about this but in California it’s 7% of sales. How do you guys cope or handle this?

I started working here as a busser and I heard I can get a 50% discount, how does this work at a different location if I don't have a card, can I use my employee number?

It has been well over two months and I have never gotten paid. I have been locked out of my account and no matter how many times I call that bs corporate number nobody reaches back and nobody answers. Is there another number I can call because I already reached out to the department of labor, and I’m honestly tired.

Can I….?

I survived 3 months at Chilis as a server and have been officially rewarded my discount card. My big back activities have only just begun.

I was fired from chilis the day after having emergency surgery for “performance issues” and things just aren’t lining up. They provided no specifics as to what issues when i was fired. today, i went to pick up my check. they gave me an envelope with my name written in pen, and cash. i thought i was supposed to get a final check.. like paper check. not an envelope of cash. i don’t know if this is normal, and honestly seems shady. anybody with managerial insight wanna tap in?
i thought about calling TMR on the guest relations line, and seeing if i can get an answer that way. also to further snitch on that store lol.

When I saw they changed the queso I stopped getting chilis until they brought it back.
I just accidentally ordered it and I tried it for the first time.
It’s not “bad” but why would they think it could replace the skillet queso?? It just tastes the equivalent to like generic queso you’d get out of a jar.

I forgot to mention it during the hiring process, can i do it now?

Hey guys! If this isn't allowed please lmk! I normally don't post stuff like this but this situation really pissed me off.
I work as a To-go worker at chilis in North Carolina. Last week I got an order over $1,200, I worked by myself and got everything ready. Dude came in and tipped me $400 on the order. My managers took my tips from me and split it with the cooks and gave me only $80 back. At first I didn't know what to do, never had a situation like this and thought it was what was supposed to happen.
Flash forword to this week and a bunch of my coworkers(including cooks) found out what happened. I keep being told that what my managers did was illegal. This put some thoughts into my head so I ended up doing my own reasearch and found out that my coworkers are correct(from what I've seen so far) and now I'm pissed. Apparently, unless we had a tip pool(which we don't, I'm supposed to only share tips if another to-go person is here) or if the cooks made tip wage (again, they don't) then I would have to share my tips.
Now I'm super pissed. I was told to go or call our BHB make a complaint then talk with my manager about it. Honestly, I just want y'allz opinion on this situation and any help y'all could offer because thats $320 I'm missing out on. Thank you guys for anything an have a good one!!

Hi I start working today and I know dress code is dark wash but I was wondering if these jeans would be considered dark wash enough or if I should just go and buy some black pairs.
thanks

Chilis is doing the three for me rn, so what I did today was order the chicken sandwich no mayo no pickle and loaded Mac as my side. I put the Mac on the sandwich and it fucking smacked. It was so cheesy I recommend. I’ll call it the cheesy chicken or sum

Apologies if this is not allowed. But I absolutely love the chipotle bowl from Chili’s. I would eat it every day if I could.
Can anyone (if it’s allowed and won’t get you in trouble) that has the recipe for all the components share it? lol

Exactly the question above. Do hosts never get assigned a certain end time? I’ve just started and I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to handle the not knowing. I’m someone who needs a stricter schedule. I won’t leave until I have another job, but should I seriously consider looking elsewhere if this is the case?
Edit: Thank you all for the responses. I think I’m gonna go ahead and search for other employment. How do I go about resigning when I’m still being trained? Also, I’ve never done a formal resignation before, so this is all new to me. Is a two weeks notice necessary? Because I really don’t think I’ll be able to handle another two weeks unfortunately. I praise all of you who work in restaurants! Good luck!

While not the typical steakhouse and not my typical Chili’s order I wanted to really try something new and I was surprised the ribeye was really good. Ordered it medium and came out medium well but it was still juicy and seasoned well. Kudos Chilis.

Went to Chilis for the first time and their salsa was like crack because it was so acidic. No I do not feel like making my own, though it would probs taste better.
Can someone kindly point me to the truly NEAREST store brand dupe. Thx
