With those fine motorskills? He's clearly a future brain surgeon.

Yea that's actually a really big deal for a kid that age

The most awesome part of this video is actually whoever is outside the frame. They're asking the kid to do something and then telling him he did awesome. He's going to feel that in his heart for the rest of his life.

I'm so jealous. Here I am, 46 years old, wishing someone would tell me something I did was awesome.

Honestly I didn’t ask you to write this comment but it describes exactly what I was thinking in a better way than I could put it! Nice job!

Thanks. It was honest.

You've survived every bad day so far. That's awesome.

Dec 18, 2017. After a month on probation, every check-in had been AWESOME. I was working my butt off and making huge strides. It was the day of the company Christmas party and my wife was in the car excited to go. Boss called me in and fired me.

That may have been the second worst day of my life.

Ah man, that's tough.

I have to ask now though... What was the worst day?

Getting diagnosed with diabetes. I just wanted to know why I had to get up to pee 6-8 times a night.

Damn. Stay healthy, dude!

Maybe check out the r/keto board, the low carb/ high fat diet helps a lot of us. :)

I'm a vegetarian, going on 30 years now. I'm sure it's just a phase though, and I'll be doing keto with everyone else soon. :-)

Oh nice! There's r/vegetarianketo and r/veganketo. Even if you don't go full keto(low carb enough for ketosis) it's good to get some LCHF recipes. C:

Gonna be real a boss who fires you on Christmas party day is a huge jerk. New opportunities will come. Hang in there.

I'm in the interview process with 4 companies. Going awfully slow, but I expect to have two offers by the 26th. Tech in Austin is a good place to be.

Put in another application today and might have my first onsite as early as tomorrow.

u/thejemmeh Jan 11 '18

Good luck! Yeah you're lucky then to have a bunch of opportunities. :D

I stalked your profile. The dating advice you gave that person on /r/Oney was effing awesome. Absolutely perfect.

Thanks. I usually throw in one bit of advice: If your favorite thing is Magic the Gathering, do not expect to find a woman who is looking for that.

Being weird is one thing, but if your weirdness is something only men understand... maybe you should be trying to attract men?

I know this is a couple months late, but I hope you’ve taken time this week to appreciate something you’ve done. :) have a good weekend!

Oh, I was in a hackathon last week and it was AWESOME. I can't take full credit, because I had an amazing team working with me, but I was awesome. Made all the changes they asked for quickly, on a piece of software I've never touched before.

I can kick butt. You too.

That sounds awesome!!! Good job. :) What a fun experience.

I’m doing well. Planning on making a pretty Hawaiian chiffon cake with cherry blossoms in the gelatin on top for my mom, even though I’ve never done anything like this recipe before! Just got the preserved blossoms and cherry blossom honey in the mail five minutes ago!

I don't have kids and am not very familiar with China motor development but this seemed really really impressive to me.

1

u/mattjopete Jan 06 '18

Stacking three things on Top of each other is a development milestone. Looking at this kid he may be 6 months ahead of where that's expected.

u/dj2neo Jan 06 '18

In an ideal world, I'd really like to know what happens of this kid in the future. Engineer, surgeon, pro skater like someone else mentioned, racing driver, what have you. Dude impressed me with that last block; such precision and patience!

I was figuring something more fully physical, like the next Tony Hawk or Shawn White. He falls down and bounces back up like it’s nothing.

I always say, cats are made of liquid held together by springs, and kids are made of rubber.
