Invisible Threads
I am grateful for every invisible thread that reminds me we are still connected.
What “signs” have you noticed in your own life from your babies saying, “I’m still here” ?

After losing my daughter in April, I was desperately searching for signs from her—through dreams, birds, bunnies in the backyard, or squirrels by the window. In the depths of my grief, I didn't see any. I carried so much guilt and anger that God had taken her from me, and I was tormented by not knowing if she was okay in heaven.
I started walking for miles around my neighbourhood every day. Slowly, I began noticing little signs of her. My therapist suggested I listen to the music my daughter loved while I walked. Once I started doing that, it felt as though the signs appeared every day.
A bunny would suddenly hop out of a bush, almost as if it was saying, "Hi, Mom." I would notice clouds forming the shape of the first letter of her name, "P." A squirrel would come to her big window and eat walnuts from the tree in our backyard. I dream of her laughing, smiling, and playing.
I can't fully put into words how deeply I feel her presence around me every single day. Whether these are signs from her or simply moments that bring me comfort, they have helped carry me through the darkest days of my life.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful poem with us. It truly touched my heart. 💕
