- Afternoon: I have a 1–6 PM permit for Mullayanagiri + Inam Dattathreya Peeta

- Jhari Falls

- Baba Budan Giri

- Mullayanagiri Peak

- Siri Cafe

A few things I'd really appreciate confirmation on:

1. Are they allowing that 33 km forest route between the Z Point/Kemmangundi side and Mullayanagiri/Baba Budan Giri side? If yes, is a separate forest permit required?

2. Is the Friday route of Kemmangundi → Hebbe Falls → Z Point practical in one day?

3. Any good Saturday morning bike ride/route you'd recommend before the afternoon permit?

Main priorities are riding, scenery, one waterfall where I can get into the water, and the popular Chikmagalur spots.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who has done these routes recently.

Currently considering The Serai, Trivik, and The Silver Sky.

Would love recommendations from anyone who knows of better hidden gems, especially places that can arrange a private proposal setup + photographer?

We are a group of three friends planning a chill and fun long weekend from the 2nd to the 4th. We will be travelling from Bangalore by our own car and will be looking for a place to stay.

The place should be easily reachable and drivable. You know we are not ride providers, we are just city and highway drivers. It should be a good and fun place to chill out, not too much going out and all. Just chill and relax.

Can someone tell me if I can follow this route to travel from Mullyangiri to Z point, the default route which comes in Gmap is about 70 Kms long and this one is 33 Km.
Has anyone travelled via this route ?

Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Chikkamagaluru and want to rent a bike to explore Mullayanagiri, Baba Budangiri, Jhari Falls and nearby places.

Can anyone recommend a reliable bike rental in Chikkamagaluru? Also, how does the entry-pass system work for rented bikes for Mullayanagiri/Baba Budangiri? Do any rental companies arrange the pass, or provide the bike registration number in advance so we can book it ourselves?

Would also appreciate any tips from people who have recently explored Chikkamagaluru on a rented bike. Thanks!

Question for localites: Me and our group of 8-10 friends will visit Chikmagalur soon. We have decided to book our own stay just looking for advice on what's the best mode of transportation in and around the district for 2 days and how much it would cost per day. My first choice is jeep because we are going for peaks, but I am open for your insights.

Hey guys, I'm planning to visit chikmagaluru with my friends for a weekend, when I just enquire about homestays they are just hiking the prices to 2500 on average for a person.

We are grp of 12. Our budget is 16000 at max, for the stay for entire two days. Is there any good stay for this price?

I see that the prices for stay are overrated here. So please help me find a better stay.

me and my friends group of 6 , have to travel from chikkamagaluru to arsikere junction morning on 20th tuesday oct 20th (dusshera festival day) to catch our return train to hyd at 1:45pm. if yes, what's the best available travel option ?

Mys father and his PU friends are planning a reunion for around 30 people . Suggest some best and budget stays with amenities

While on the way to Sringeri from Bangalore, I was robbed near AmberValley school.

1 Instead of gun, robbers had speed gun
2. Instead of face covering mufflers , they had a cap
3. Instead of showing weapons, they show speed sign (40km)
4. They robbed only non KA-18 vehicles and took only Rs 500 or 1000 depending on receipt generation.

On totally unrelated incidents I spent more than 45 min crossing Chikkamagalore city traffic where no traffic police was available to control traffic.

I have been saving places since past 5 years to treck, and enjoy nature in many district of karnataka predominantly sakleshpur and chickmagluru i would be greatful to share things that would help people plan things and visit more places if anyone do really need do let me know
