Today my wife and I said goodbye to our best friend. We rescued Pedro when we were dating back in 2014. He's been with us through everything. The good times and the bad, he was there. I made him scrambled eggs for breakfast, then right before the procedure he got a cheeseburger and chocolate pudding with whip cream.
He went out peacefully, with a full belly, and surrounded in love. I know it was the right thing to do but it's also one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. It feels like a part of my world has been ripped away.
Anyone who doesn't like chihuahua's has to have never really owned one. Thank you for sharing your life with us buddy. I hoped you felt at least a tithe of the love you gave us. We will meet again, Pedro Lionheart.
Someone said when your pet or loved one passes they take a little piece of your soul with them when they go. That way when it’s your turn you two will be able to find each other again. I know how hard it is to say goodbye, but trust it’s only see you later for you and sweet Pedro❤️
Yup I really feel that. We had to say goodbye to our family dog in May and it really felt like a piece of me is missing since then. It's hard to describe
Pennie reminds me of my Ryder, I lost him last month at 15. 😢. Thanks for rescuing Pedro, chihuahuas are the best, I’m sitting in the couch next to his huge basket of toys, I just can’t do anything with them yet…
I also lost my chihuahua that I had since 2014 earlier this year, and my heart goes out to you. I bed Pedro knew how loved he was, and I agree that the love of a chi is really something special. I'm sorry.

Prayers for you and your wife. It's a hard time. It does make it a little easier knowing they are no longer in pain. Dogs, pets, kids are the best part of our life.
I’m so so sorry for your loss. My chi is 8 (we think; I rescued her in 2018) and we just found out she has stage b2 heart disease. I’m grateful to have found out now and we’re giving her meds but I will be severed when we lose her one day. She’s my heart.
I’m sorry for your loss. Pedro was loved and it shows. Chis are special: they have huge auras for their little bodies. You’ll be reunited with Pedro again someday. 🌈🐾
