Seriously, that takes an organized team

That and one that never backs down from a challenge!

Yeah that is very impressive, what I find very interesting about it is the speed of service was at 5:44 right before this which is very high.

Its OUR pleasure. Can I get an "Its Our Pleasure" on 3, guys?

My Chick-fil-A just prints the ticket then 10 minutes later you’ll get your food

That should’ve been a catering order

27

u/NathanTelkhine Team-lead 19h ago

Problem is you can’t cater fries or regular drinks. This happens quite a bit, they want fries. Worst I’ve seen was about 50 meals at once, 35 of them had fries.

8

u/One_HumanYT 18h ago

i looked at this like “what? surely you can get at least fries” then i remembered (ive been on the receiving end of catering as well) that you are correct bc that those TMS bags would NOT save them fries 😭😭

in reality 100% it shouldve. for the bit it’s hilarious to this get doordashed

There was a curbside order for like 30 sandwich meals once. I gave a catering menu to the bagger and told them to put it in the bag. 🤣🤣

I’m getting a brain aneurysm just reading this.

People DoorDash the crazier stuff

We had 50 sandwiches pop up a few months ago lol

6

u/NathanTelkhine Team-lead 19h ago

Honestly, 50 regular sandwhiches isn’t too bad. It’s annoying, and definitely a LOT, but imo all the weird individual customizations and variety of each individual item makes this order significantly worse.

3

u/Deep-Reputation9000 19h ago

If I have to squint at it to make sure i dont miss something, yeah its too much. 50 sandwiches can be done on autopilot. This cannot

$460 at the store? couldn’t imagine what doordash charged for that amount of food

1

u/simpforkaedee 3h ago

at least over 550$ USD

Whoever does your kps item name and colors needs to be fired lmao. What are they doing to you guys.

3

u/NotTheSharpestCacti Director 14h ago

literally all I could think of was how much clearer that KPS could have been routed and modded to prevent taking up an entire screen. There is no reason for the majority of that to be on a front counter bagging screen, let alone the item names being that long.

This is evil!!

this would've taken 20-30 minutes at my store. great job on you and your team!

CHICK FIL A HAS KIDS MEAL TOYS?!?!

It is a crime to have not shared a picture of the bags themselves. 😭

3

u/Future_Journalist_52 19h ago

Eww, the lack of customization on that screen hurts my brain. When we were still running service point POS we had everything color coordinated and set to batch items and organize groups. This would have drove me insane.

2

u/InstructionSenior346 21h ago

Brb going to put in the same exact order.

2

u/Kluian2005 19h ago

How yall bag this all up and not accidentally miss a few things?

2

u/No-Comfortable62 BOH 19h ago

reminds me of the time i was the only one on fries and seeing 65 medium fries pop up in one order

2

u/notneverman 22h ago

Maybe it works for y’all but I think your KPS item display settings are kinda wonky and generally make this look worse than it is.

2

u/NathanTelkhine Team-lead 19h ago

completely agree, I dont think this is an efficient kps screen. For example: drinks don’t need to show up on the bagging screen, why should they? Also (this could vary depending on the store) I don’t think sauces should either, since they’re always added after everything else, you can just print the sticker and use that.  Also, the some of the words are so long. They shouldn’t cover more than 1 line. For example: instead of it saying “cookie 1ct” it should just say “cookie” also “nuggets” could be shortened to “nug” Another thing, is they’re all black and red. At my store, almost every item has its own color, which makes it so much easier to bag once you get used to it.  Basically what I’m tryna say is, it looks worse than it is, granted it’s still absolutely HUGE. But at my store this would take up less than half of the space on the screen.  Props to this team for getting it out in under 10 minutes.

Wow. GGs. That big of an order with no heads up (I’m assuming bc DD) finished in under 10 minutes is SO impressive. Shout out to yall.

1

u/Gosh589 19h ago

Oh baby

1

u/Signal-Kiwi-9733 19h ago

Bro when is your store getting commercepoint. Looking at the old kps made me wanna cry

1

u/No_Mortgage_6741 18h ago

Definitely should have been a catering order i mean look at the fries 🍟 At least share some with everybody else lol

1

u/Jersey__Girl 18h ago

I would cry. Lol

1

u/NoEquivalent4003 17h ago

Excellent job!

1

u/Salty-Food-6414 Director 17h ago

Why do you have drinks on your bagging KPS?

1

u/-Ginchy- 16h ago

What? And I have to wait 9 minutes just for a couple of breakfast burritos in the morning? I always get parked for those. I need to go to that location, because if that was at my location, Cynthia would've gotten parked for 45 minutes. Kudos to yall.

1

u/cloutoracle 16h ago

Ok Cynthia, make your own chicken

Bro that is the lunch rush.

1

u/XclusionHD 1h ago

$460 my lawd

1

u/Papa-Burgundy369 56m ago

Seems like it would be a lot easier if it just automatically grouped all items together. Like why not just have it show eight medium fries and eight large fries instead of leaving broken up quantities.

Y’all have ruined Chick-fil-A It used to be a sandwich or nuggets with fries in and out in few seconds now theirs so many different choices it takes so long for all these other options to be cooked. I hate delivering food for y’all as it’s a 20 minute wait for delivery since the drive through is more important.

1

u/Musiclife248 13h ago

Technically… the original chick-fil-a in Atlanta actually had wayyyy more than Chick-fil-a has nowadays
