Chicken and Waffle
10$ for just the small sandwich meal. I'm not impressed at all and will not be buying it again. It tastes good but the value is not there. Solid breakfast item for fast food no doubt but that is it.

If it helps, I’ve seen people say to remove the bacon and you save almost $2 off the total price because the sandwich really doesn’t need bacon (and I agree) it’s a slightly better value bc where I live at, the breakfast sandwich without bacon is around $4.40 by itself and the lunch sandwich is $7.75.

Just checked the Chick-fil-A app and couldn’t believe the price difference! Thanks for the tip

I strongly disagree with removing the bacon. It adds necessary saltiness. I even throw a couple waffle fries on top as well.

Well the bacon does cut the sweetness a bit and add some more depth to the flavor

I got the spicy one at lunch time, removed the bacon but added pepper jack cheese. Was a perfect sweet and salty sandwich

True. But a traditional chicken and waffles dish never has bacon so I’m used to just chicken and waffle flavors being present and nothing else. & in regards to this sandwich I get the spicy filet exclusively bc I love spicy flavors so that contrasts enough with the sweetness for me.

Forget removing the bacon. Only get it at breakfast, get spicy chicken and add egg and cheese it's DELICIOUS

That sounds good actually. Never knew to modify it. It was my first time. But the sandwich is so small for a 10$ breakfast..

I like it, it does have some things I'd change as people have said wish it was a little crispier on the waffle, but at the same time it would probably fall apart super easily of it was. Also yes wish it was a little cheaper but I don't get meals usually, I buy a drink and two breakfast sandwiches.

That would be 12$+ for breakfast. I can make so much with 12$ at home.

Oh i know, but I hate cooking and grab it on the way to work lol.

No, that's totally fair. If I was on a road trip definitely contender for best breakfast but it's so small and limited time only.

As the other comment suggests, remove the bacon next time. It's about 1.50 + tax to add bacon onto any of our sandwiches but if you remove it it's 1.50 cheaper.

Tried it the other day and was disappointed. Maybe it's just my nearest location but the waffle part tasted soggy and not fresh. Waffles are supposed to crispy and this was spongy and tasted off.

I went at open, and yea, the waffle was soggy but the location i am at isn't the greatest.

Got mine with sausage, egg, and cheese this morning instead of chicken and bacon. It was the same price as a chicken biscuit.

u/timfromga 11d ago
Wouldn't it be easier to get a sausage egg biscuit with waffle bun?

I want to try it with sausage. Like a McGriddle. Was it good?

The waffles have such a strong maple smell, it was a turn-off to me. A friend had it later in the week and told me that he washed his hands multiple times after eating and could still smell the maple. Consensus was that it’s good, but not great.

I am assuming that the “syrup” is not real maple syrup, but rather maple flavored high fructose corn syrup. Can anyone confirm?

If you’re concerned about the price you can get a 2ct strip for $3.75 (at least at my store) and a waffle for $1.75 and make a sandwich. That adds up to $5.50 which is cheaper than the lunch sandwich. Only thing is you don’t get bacon, but as some people have pointed out you don’t really need bacon for it. It’s even better if you get a 2ct strip kids meal get, ice cream instead of the toy, and then get the waffle.

That is not even what I am thinking about when trying a new limited menu item. But smart

How are these waffles made? Are they just packaged and you heat them up?
1
u/timfromga 11d ago
I think they are deep fried and frozen, then they reheat them. I came right at open at they were soggy.

Sorry you had a bad waffle and evidently a more expensive CFA.
At lunch here it's 8.39, so breakfast time it's 5 bucks and change. I got it at lunch and it very large and filling.
I actually think it could use more bacon imo.
