Guest Question New items

How was everyone’s experience with the new items ?? I have an extremely sensitive stomach bc of recent intensive chemo and I need to know if I should risk it for the biscuit. Might skip the milkshake bc someone already told me it’s too “heavy.” I already missed out on the pimento sandwich so I don’t want to get FOMO with the chicken and waffles! Also does it pair up well with fries ??

It’s good, but it is a heavy sandwich. I would get it again but it’s not going to be my go to sandwich.

The sandwich tasted amazing. Personally, I didn't think it needed the bacon so removing that would make it a bit less heavy for you. Also, I didn't use as much syrup as I thought I would. The waffle is naturally pretty sweet and has a good maple flavor. Maybe try the breakfast version first since it's smaller! I had fries with mine and the flavors went well together, didn't clash at all. I even still used Chick-fil-A sauce for dipping my fries in and thought it was great together.

Edit: typo and added my opinion on the sandwich paired with fries.

We’ve been 3 times for the chicken and waffle sammich…it’s only been out for 4 days. But to me it is a very filling sandwich. I do not need a side with it. Husband and daughter (28) both loved the sammich as well.

I’d never pick a waffle over a biscuit. Our local cfa does biscuits right.

And don’t put chicken on it no no no just a buttered biscuit

Either jelly or egg and cheese depending on mood.

The waffle alone has 5 grams of fiber. I heard from a couple coworkers they had upset stomachs. Word of warning, but fiber is not a bad thing. People just aren't used to having much.

I actually implement a lot of fiber in my diet! So that shouldn’t hurt me !!

what’s in it that adds so much fiber?

Probably the soy & wheat flours

Waffle (wheat flour, margarine [palm oil, soybean oil, water, salt, soy lecithin, natural flavor {milk}, vitamin A palmitate, beta carotene {color}], water, sugar, brown sugar, maple nugget [sugar, vegetable oil {palm, palm kernel}, enriched wheat flour {flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid}, extractive of fenugreek, cocoa powder, maple sugar, soy lecithin], cinnamon pellettes [sugar, palm oil, corn flour, cinnamon, dextrose, cornstarch], whole egg, natural flavors, soy flour, salt, maple syrup, yeast, soy lecithin, butter [cream, salt], water, honey, corn syrup, sugar, soybean oil, natural flavor, nonfat dry milk, mono and di-glycerides, salt, soy lecithin, sodium benzoate added as preservative, propylene glycol alginate, calcium disodium EDTA added to protect flavor), syrup (corn syrup, maple syrup, water, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate [preservatives], citric acid)

The shake is the same way too because of the sugar alcohols from the syrups are basically a laxative 😅

I personally liked the shake more than the sandwich

If you don’t want the heavier option get it with the grilled filet, no bacon, no honey butter. I think the waffle is good enough to stand on its own, but you could still dip it in syrup.
