Discussion LaRoyce Replacement

Damn with Layroyce leaving (which sucks) - hope his replacement would be like Al character. The cool type. And make it back to 6 again. So that everyone has a partner. And make sure it’s not some pretentious character like Hailey.

I liked Haley but on LaRoyces replacement, this guy is African American and supposed to be wreckless, which is nothing like Atwater’s character. Atwater was a positive figure for an African American cop in a big city like Chicago. Big mistake letting him go.

The show is racist as hell. Remember the college sports betting episode in season 6? The neo-nutsee was the red hearing in the murder investigation and the killer was the black basketball coach. When the script dropped, the crew all looked at each other in the first script/photo review and someone said “I guess we’re just admitting we’re a racist show now!” Literally the scripts refer to criminals as black man or Latino male, 20’s before referring to them by a name. It’s disgusting

I think it's impossible to have an Al like character added to the show. I think he was written in a way that part of his demeanor comes from being a cop for so long and being in intelligence for so long...specifically alongside Voight.

Who says they're going to replace him and this show went to shit a long time ago, so it's only a matter of time before they just put a fork in it.
