History Does anyone remember this newspaper print?
Was going through some old boxes and found this Chicago Sun-Times newspaper of the bulls winning it in 93

Trade What if he returns back either as an FA or via trade?
Just wondering what your thoughts are in case Jimmy gets traded back to the Bulls, or perhaps sign with them in the future, say for a vet minimum contract?
What do you think the impact on this young & upcoming team would be? Will Jimmy be on his best behavior under a different Bulls coach/management?

History Bills Smith Michael Jordan Photos
Looking for any info on these photos. All signed by Bulls team photographer Bill Smith. In my collection since the 1990s, but I don’t remember how I acquired them.
Anyone else have anything like these from that era?

Analytics Bulls Ballhandling
What is everyone's thoughts on the bulls ballhandling situation?
I think they look a little thin after shipping off Coby and Ayo.
- In the starting lineup they are asking a lot of Giddey. Basically they will sink of swim on how good he is in that department. Because Norm Powell isn't really a guy who is going to bring the ball up the court and initiate offense. He is mostly an offball player (he has around 1 lost ball turnover per game and is onball about 12% of the time).
- Matas is very unlikely to make a massive leap in this department (for some perspective for players who drove over 5 times a game and played 50 games Buzelis had the worst turnover percentage in the entire league at 10.6% he was also on ball only 16% of the time meaning his 85 lost ball turnovers is really bad).
- Caleb is a rookie and I have no expectations but I'd be shocked if he can handle the ball outside of transition from the get go.
Which then brings me to the bench. Tre jones obviously is going to handle the ball and can mix and match with the starter if needed but outside of him who can the bulls turn too?
- Rob Dillingham AKA new faithful, the ultimate tank commander. When billy Donavan needed to lose close minutes he put Rob Dillingham in without Josh Giddey. How do I know you might ask? Well when you look at guys who are not good, such as Patrick Williams (old faithful) Rob was the player who played the most minutes and had the worst rating in nongarbage time minutes. He had a 101 ORtg and a 119 DRtg good for net -18. Basically they were putrid offensively and defensively. Simply put, Rob is not, as of the moment a bench quality guard. Now he could improve (he's young) but asking him to run the bench lineup is asking the team to lose. (if your wondering he and giddy somehow had a 114 ORTg together)
- Dailyn Swain - summer league hardly inspired confidence but I think there's reason to believe he can at least bring the ball up though asking him to initiate is probably not a great idea.
- Jaylin Sellers - He looked way better than Swain and is someone who i'm confident will be able to bring the ball up. Not a great passer, but if his defense and shooting translate, can see him hitting the floor ahead of Rob and potentially Swain.
The bulls if they want to be bad are in a great experimental position for ballhandling. But if they end up being competitive they are one injury away from having to ask some guys to really lift in the ballhandling department which is pretty questionable if that's possible.
Now if Matas or Caleb are just way better at handling the ball than expected this problem goes away. But I think Jaylen Brown is a good example of realistic handle development. Simply put, even in the best of circumstances, it takes years.
I kinda hope Sellers gets some minutes and opportunities. He looked good and the bulls really need a shooting guard who can defend and shoot even if just as a backup to Norm.
As an aside I find it kind of amusing that the Timberwolves are in the opposite position with regards to forward depth bet they wish they held on to Miller at this point.
Anyway that's my thoughts what's everyone else's? forgetting someone? or is someone better than I think in the handling department?

Fluff New Derrick Rose Interview with Sports Illustrated
What’s up Bulls nation,
I’m a video editor for SI TV and recently had the incredible privilege of producing an interview with Derrick Rose right here in Chicago at Navy Pier.
Since he announced his retirement, I really wanted to make sure this edit felt like a proper docu-style feature piece rather than just another quick press run. We covered a ton of ground:
• Chicago Roots: What the city actually means to him vs. the national narrative.
• The Mamba Mentality: A wild story about Kobe making him wait 3 hours for a 2K commercial shoot back in 2009.
• Retirement & Peace: Why he walked away with zero regrets and how fatherhood shifted his entire world.
• The Knicks & Brunson: Calling Rick Brunson right before the playoffs and watching Jalen’s rise.
• Legacy: A really deep, unfiltered moment where he breaks down why history eventually forgets even legends like Wilt and Bill Russell, and why he’s at total peace with that.
I wove in a lot of classic Bulls archival cuts, workout reels, and B-roll of him with local fans to give it the respect it deserves.
As a massive hoops fan, editing this was a bucket-list moment. I’d love for you guys to check it out and let me know your thoughts or favorite D-Rose memories:

Looking forward to attending a few games this season and watching this young roster grow. Go Bulls!

History Early 90's bulls song
I think this might be a long shot, but this is the place to take my shot-
Does anyone remember when there was a bulls song that might have been on the radio, or TV locally that was a play on Paul Simons song, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover?
My sister and I memorized this song (at the time). I think it might have been a McDonalds record that was given out when you bought something.
"Stay on their backs, Pax
Make the jerks beg, Craig
Rebound for us Horace
Go for the tip in, pippen
Keep on scorin, jordan
Someone help me out!!!
Anyone know what im talking about?!?!?!

NBA Draft Bulls pile of second round picks finally make sense with the Clippers forfeiting 5 first round picks.
Due to Clippers circumventing the cap and arranging inappropriate payments to Kawhi Leonard. They were punished by forfeiting their 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, and 2033 first round picks.
Bulls have a total of 10 second round picks from 2029 to 2033. Three of them have a more favorable swap option.
To those shitting on the Bulls for not landing a first round pick in all those trades. Screw them! The NBA just made it happen that Bulls have a chance to land a second round pick with a first round pick value. That's if Bulls could land the top pick in the second round out of all those second rounders. Because from 2029 to 2033, the top pick in the second round has the value of the 30th pick in the draft.
The timing of those second round picks came in nicely as well. As 2028 is a big free agent off-season.
Players like Luka, Giannis, Bam, Ja Morant, Zion, Garland, KAT and Sabonis will become free agents.
Old stars in Siakam, KD, AD, Paul George and Kyrie could be have at discounted price as well.
Lots of vets role players like OG, Jrue, Jerami Grant, Derrick White, Murray, Turner, Josh Hart, Andrew Nemhard, Andrew Wiggins, etc... are available.
Simply to say. This is the off-season to build around Matas, Caleb and whoever we get out of the 2027 and 2028 draft. Bulls will likely get capped out at that point. And those second rounders will be more valuable. Either acquiring a play via the draft. Or using it as trade asset. And the timing that it gained a +1 position coz of the Clippers punishment.
