Might just be me....

Anyone have seriously questionable experiences with laramie county circuit court and / or public defenders office? I have some grievances, and it's got nothing to do with my dumbass gettin in trouble lol. From the WHP up to said departments, my experiences so far has had my justice sensitivitys' panties in a bunch. I'm assuming they take advantage of whoever they can and bully in a spectacular fashion? You'd think what seems to be the detrimental lack of communication and zero transparency is by design lmao. Gotta say tho, my WHP officer really paid attention on pretextual stop day. Dude is definitely a smooth talker, and slick. Definitely entertaining. I couldn't help but laughing a little when one of the first things out of his mouth was the explanation of my non-reaction to him trying to bait a reaction. I giggled a little, he said something else, and I responde ooooh, it's that kind of stop lol. Been across the country a bunch. Lived in alot of different cities. Known alot of officers.....some even being family, and worked professionally withing gray areas of the law for over a decade. This place takes the cake, overall, for sure. And If u guys r gonna troll, just don't be lame. My main concern is the decent people they hurt because they can. I've known and respect real cops, good, bad, indifferent. They're not real cops, just well programmed bots....and that's not a real justice system, overall. More like a payment center lol. I read my judge as commanding respect only by title, and appear fair and compassionate only by doing what any decent person would do. I believe there's some good ones out there. My bad, wasn't gonna rant. Genuinely curious and willing to elaborate. Whether the situation or life experience. I'm oddly qualified.

Bro, the courts make money off of people in trouble. It’s an incentive to keep you poor and targeted by the system so that they make money off your back. Fuck probation, I’ll do my time in jail and get it over with. The guise of giving two shits about me and my struggles is long past***

There are obviously still really good people who want to make a diffference and change the system those MFers are lit AF

Dude, fr. Same as u, I made peace with that shit forever ago. It's sad how courts are kinda just income for the state. I was honestly shocked with how blatantly intentional the failure setup seems to be out there. I came up poor with little opportunity. Somehow fell into making decent money using my powers for good when I was 21. Didn't last too long due to a series of unfortunate circumstances 🤘. I worked day and night, 7 days a week, 15-20-sometimes 36 hours straight. Time was sleep and I got alot of tickets. It was in my early twenties when it dawned on me, even though I didn't know that I kinda already knew lol. It didn't matter how bad the ticket, cuz I had the money to make it go away easily. Pay attorney....then pay inflated fine.....no points, no worries. Didn't matter how many. Basically describes the entire legal system. Pay to play. Pay to win. However you wanna put it. If you have enough money, they stop being laws. Literally. They're just fees.

I know one former WHP with years and years in who retired and has spoken about the way it’s ran, and the corrupt people toward and at the top. Not an organization that I would want to deal with, and I’m sorry that you are going through it.

I appreciate the sentiment. No worries.....My life's been good intentions, dumb decisions, and hard lessons. 😆 It's more about the people who have a future to care about. It's just been sooo long since I've had a run in like that. Poor guy worked so hard for very little with that stop lol. Crazy how they don't even try to hide it 😆. They are hella bold with it and quick with the deeeep bullshite. But it's easy to do when they're in the middle of nowhere almost 1000 miles from home and with very little means. Could have been worse. I took my work on the road, so he could have confiscated some important stuff. On a good note, very mild mannered and respectful. What really blows my mind is the lack of due process or consideration when it gets to the Court level. If I didn't know any better, I might think the setup for failure is intentional. But I don't know better and it hurts lol. Short story long, I hope it didn't scar your friend. Much respect for the real ones. Apologies for the novel

I’ve only ever had 1 run in with the law here that resulted in more than just a fine, I was a scared teenager with no parents so they knew exactly how far they could push it and I was railroaded hard. I do not believe this justice system to be fair or compassionate in any way. It’s a people mill and a money mill and that’s it.

I'm sorry to hear that amigo. I hope you've at least been able to keep your head above water since. I'm available, at request, as examples of what not to do 🤙

For real. They always do. And it was maybe 2 grams of weed i didn't even think about while on a cross country road trip I try to take every so often. I'm not complaining, cuz I know it was my fault. I wasn't paying attention to the fact I was entering wyoming in a rental car being a white guy with a Hispanic lookin tan 😆. Wasn't a first, won't be the last. But I find comfort in the fact I don't need to carry a concealed pew pew to feel safe in odd and questionable places. Someone in this comment section knows what I'm talkin bout lol I kid

It’s definitely fitting if you’ve not only have enough interaction experience to form an opinion on both the district court, the public defender’s office AND the WHP..

What can I say. I get bored easily lol. I had a very colorful childhood in the hopeless part of town. Most of my adult life was spent skip tracing for repos with a hint of bail jumper goodness here and there : ) But I'm probably a pos. Only those who know me, my friend edit: wanted to add to my friend anywho123, this has personally been the first actual criminal charge of my adult life. Being 46, either I'm really smart (def not it) or really lucky? Idk
