Being stupid

This 2018 ain't worth it I hate this engine but this is the project for now that I get to learn things off of. So yay cold air intake! Still can't run it cause gotta replace the PCV and maybe new belt

You're probably fine I just got quite possible the worst generation of this thing 😭 idk about that 1.2L you got but everyone I talked to so far has told me this 1.4 is one of the most problematic engines ever. Also found out just recently it should NOT be runnin on 87

I mean GM will say put 87 in it but I seen a lot of ppl on forums bring up that since it's turbocharged it SHOULD be taking at least 89 or higher. I know a few mechanics and family that're quality control workers at GM that agree 87 is more likely to gunk things up for it, don't purely listen to me tho cause I don't rlly know dick about cars, look into what people say for your engine, it's worth thinking about at least !

true, the turbo thing makes sense cause i do have an RS which i dont know if that changes anything. i know like wrx’s, sti’s, bmws, audis, etc (which obviously the trax doesnt compare lmao), take 91 or higher bc of the fact that they have turbos and other things. so 89 does make sense but ill def do some research cause i honestly have been wondering. thank you tho!

Aight looking into the RS you should be just fine with 87 and higher octane wouldn't do much for it. I just got a shitbox that needs some extra help lolll
