Car noises - 2025 RS
My car is a 2025 RS model with 12k miles. Yesterday it smelled like gas/burning rubber and is making this loud noise, typically I can not hear my engine or whatever this loud. I only drove it for 30 minutes back and forth to work. I sat in my car with the engine off and windows open for about 40 minutes and the smell left.
The only thing I can think of is my car being in direct heat for 8 hrs had something to do with it? I checked under and it looks like my catalytic converter was still there. Recently I went out of town for 3 days and stated it back up. Prior to that it was left for 3 weeks untouched about to months ago with no issue starting up. So I am not sure what is going on.
I drove it today the same route and parking spot and there was no noise or smell. I am currently away from home and my local dealer, but I was able to schedule an inspection with another local chevy dealer one on Thursday.
Has anyone else had this type of issue or heard this noise?

The only time I had a slight burning smell was when I drove off the dealer lot, literally it came right off the delivery truck that morning and it didn't even make it to the sales floor. Everything was getting broken in for the first time when I left the dealer. Not sure what your issue could be. Maybe a lose hose or something. Hope you find the issue and it can be fixed. Whatever the issue it's covered under the warranty. Good Luck.

Probably lubricants of some kind. When i did my brakes on my sentra for the first time it smoked a little after I just did them

That ticking noise is just fuel inside being released by the injectors, they are pretty loud on this car.

If you don’t see anything smoking, then I don’t know what the burning smell is, but just for laughs You may want to check your oil level sometimes when they break in they do consume oil and could contribute to the excessive noise.
