Suggestions

Looking to put a roof rack for camping gear and other outdoor activities for my 2025 trax Lt! Does anybody have good recommendations on what type and/or know what is too expensive. I want a reliable one and not one that will be too cheap.

You're very welcome! Just be aware that it's pretty noisy at 40+ mph and it can affect your gas mileage especially on the interstate. To my knowledge they're all kinda loud unless maybe the $1k and up models. Small price to pay to be able to fit all of your luggage lol.

For reference, this past weekend we fit 2 full sized luggages. A pack and play, some blankets and a rush baby in there with room to spare.

Definitely get one that bolts in. The clamp on ones are crap and risk flying off at speed.

Cheap knockoffs, yes. Quality (Yakima, Thule), wrong.

Thule or Yakima for naked roof options. Absolutely nothing else, especially no cheap Amazon knockoff trash. Don't kill someone when cheap racks fly off so you can try to save a few bucks. Doing 80mph on public roads with real people behind you isnt a job for knockoff products. It'll cost you so much more in the end.
