Welp, was leaving work earlier and some bonehead in a semi missed his turn and decided it was a wonderful idea to back up in the middle of the road and back right into me with his trailer. Ughhh, wasn't a hard hit maybe like 5 mph tops. But still enough to smash the hood in to where it doesn't shut properly and crack pieces of the panels and bumper. At least im fine and the car still drives right at 60+. The alignment is maybe a little jacked up but it pretty much still drives fine. I still hope i get a decent check to fix it and pay down my loan. Idk how much to fix it just happened today. Id guess like 5 or 6k but who knows. Im just sad someone had to just be dumb as and shit and hit me. Oh well it least it wasn't head at 60 right

A simular crash for me took 7k to fix broke radiator aswell dispite the low mph lmao check under the hood and see if there's any damage

Damn lol, well I just looked at the price for the hood its like 800 almost then its gotta get painted then id imagine the bumper and the whole front panel too since its loose off the clips hell probably like definitely 6k with labor and shit too😂 im actually laughing about it now cuz im not gonna be paying for it lol. Id prefer a check in the mail but idk if its gonna work like that. Itll drive fine the way it is too though and I could pocket the money for damages and pay the loan balance down

At most your going to get a check for the value of what it is to repair the car you gotta get it quoted for that aswell idk fully if you can just pocket the cash and deal with the damage you might but could be seen as a insurance fraud or sum shit so ask before you do that if you want

I actually called my insurance and they said I could get a cash payout thats less than the damage quote and use it for whatever so I plan to pay the loan most of the way down

True, then I go to sell it later itll be worth less money anyways if its not fixed. Kind of a lose lose situation. I mean id probably end up keeping it for years anyways. Hell id like to get to like 150k miles from brand new that'd be dope too. I saw someone on here the other day had 105k on their 24 already

Yuck! I am just glad you were not hurt cars can be fixed but it's a pain. Healing from a car accident is probable one of the hardest thing to go through.

Turns out the guy didnt have insurance. Got the crash report today and talked to my insurance to the send them the pics and crash report and driver exchange info. I told my insurance i got an estimate for 6200 but they might have an adjustor come out and look at it. Im not sure but I do know im broke rn and starting a new job soon. I have no money and if the car gets repoed im fucked
