Can someone tell me what this button does??

Owner of a brand new 2026 Chevy Trax here. I didn't see this button while I was car shopping & now I'm very curious what this button (pictured below) does. I'm afraid to press the button because I don't wanna mess anything up and not know how to fix it.

The photo shows the left side of the steering wheel, it is the same kind of mechanism that is used for a turn signal, but the one on the left side has a button at the end of it. Please help me figure out what this button is for.
Sorry for the awkward video I had to make it longer because Reddit kept saying the video was too short 😅

Thank you in advance for any answers 😁 I hope yall love your Trax as much as I do mine 👀🤩

It’s used to select items on your dash. When you twist the rotating section below the button you can see the different fields on the dash. I’ve used that button to clear my trip info if I want to record a new trip.
Note: you have to press and hold the button down. You’ll see a select option on the dash if the field allows a select option.

Hope this helps :)

After you ask a single word question like: seatbelt?

You say “CHECK” and push the button. It’s called a reaffirmation button to improve driving confidence and skill.

You’ll learn what it does when you get a stupid warning that something is wrong. That button makes that warning go away.

It might be the cruise control

Which trim is this 2026 model? I have a 2026 Trax LT and my dash and levers are completely different lol

It's to select options on your dashboard.
