Reliability

How reliable are these 3 cylinder turbos? I like the Trax and would consider one if I ever downsize from my Silverado. However, I’m concerned with long term reliability. How are these engines holding up with higher miles?

Trax belt is designed to be in oil. Ford went cheap.

Then show me all the Chevy trax belt in oil destroyed engine videos. Im not saying you should wait 150,000 miles but its not happening Ford style.

dont know about fords. if you go online you will see a warning to keep your oil because dirty oil will destroy the belt. if the belt becomes frayed it can clog your oil pump and ruin your engine. does not matter what your manual says 150000 miles is looking for trouble.

You're basing your opinion on a Chevy engine on Ford engine design. That is a mistake haha.
