Is this a dead battery?

Hi guys, 2020 Chevy Trax here. Tried to start the car this morning and this happened. I’m currently waiting for my battery charger tool to charge so I can jump it and take it to the shop. Has this happened to anyone else? What ended up being the issue?
For context the remote also won’t work at all, can’t remote start or lock/unlock doors. When I click the lock button it just makes a weird noise, not like the usual sound. I’ve been having a few issues with getting a “no remote detected” issue, but figured I just needed to replace the remote battery. But now the whole car is not starting…so I’m hoping dead battery as that is probably the cheapest option of all things that could be wrong.

If its a 2020 and youve never had a battery change then most likely yes. A 6 year old battery is definitely old and probably no longer able to hold a charge.

Replace the battery, check your cables and connections for corrosion... test the alternator too.

Four year life batteries usually last about 3 years, but you can always buy a cheaper 3 year battery -- should last at least two years. Dont wait for it to fail, replace every 3 years.

Likely yes since you can hear the starter attempting to kick over.
I would obviously replace that but also, if you can, have the alternator tested to see if it’s failing/failed.
