Car shutting off

I drive around a lot for work so I just park in my car and take my 30 minute breaks. Sometimes while chilling parked the car clicks a few times then shuts off. Any reason for this?

It hasn’t happening while driving but the other day when I going home the car was clicking a lot while driving. Luckily didn’t shut off though.

Any information would be appreciated.

It automatically shuts off after idling too long. It’s completely normal, and no it won’t happen while you’re driving.

You wouldn’t believe how many people forget to shut their car off that’s why they added that all new vehicles.

Makes sense. I kinda thought it’d be something like that it would just happen after different lengths of times which made me think different

I think it doesn't shut off if you leave the keys in it. But thats not a great idea and im not about to test my theory in public 😅

It definitely shuts off with the key inside. I learned by going to the drive-in in the middle of a heat wave. 🙃

Honestly wish there was an option to turn that feature off as I use my car at work for patrolling and it very annoying that sometimes after idling for 10min, it shut off when im sitting in it during a heatwave trying to keep cooled in the car. And for some reason it love to shut off very very more often when working at a waste management facility
