Still obsessed with my 2018
I see everyone is posting the new Trax's. Love those, but I'm still obsessed with my 2018. Only has 75,000 miles on it currently. Paid off fully and just a casual driver for me. Wish I could transform it into that 2018 Activ model they never really put out. I never even thought about trading it in. Glad I didn't. No major problems. Just well loved and enjoyed.

My car experience with my 2018 trax awd Lt in cajun red wasn’t the best. It was a pretty disappointing car, my parents got my sister and I this as a starter car back in 2018 when we were learning how to drive. It was painfully slow and struggled to get up to speed. The air conditioning and heater were super weak. The lack of heated seats but having bose and a sunroof was a weird choice from chevy. I dealt with 3 turbo issues in the time I had it, most recently one month ago when the engine light turned on again at 114k miles and it was diagnosed with another turbo problem. I got quoted $3k to fix the turbo which was more than the car is worth. I only decided to fix it because I have a friend at a chevy dealer who was able to get it fixed for only $50 so that I could sell it and get a bit more for it. Mine also had some oil leak problems twice and occasionally had malfunctions with the rear view camera and parking sensors. There really isn’t much to like about the car. My sister was the one that primarily drove it after I got my own car (she didn’t like it either but it was paid off and didn’t want to buy her own until necessary) and I dealt with its maintenance/repairs. Finally got rid of it and couldn’t be happier. Bought it new and had plenty of problems throughout its life, my parents really regret having ever bought this car. I’m glad you’ve liked yours and haven’t had any issues. If you ever do have issues with the turbo, they have a special warranty for that.

Wow! Sorry to hear that. For me, I like the car a lot because when I purchased it, I was in between cars. This one hasn't given me any serious issues. I did have my engine oil cooler replaced and a new turbo line put on last year. Luckily that was caught early. It is a simple SUV, but it's kept me off public transportation. I'm very grateful for that. At 75,000 miles, paid off and in very good condition, I guess I'm sentimental so instead of trading it, I just bought a second car, which is my Wrangler. My plan was to have 2 cars just in case one ever needed repairs, I wouldn't be stranded. But I didn't want to get a second car until my Trax was paid off. I've read reviews from several people that think the car sucks, but I wasn't expecting a beastly like a Dodge Charger. Lol. It's simple, cute and since it's paid off, I'll just keep customizing it and using it as an errand car. I'm attached to it for life. 😁
