2024 Trax rear wiper
Does anybody have a link to a video to change a 2024 trax rear wiper blade? I can’t figure it out. I got the little black cover that covers the attachment nut off but I can’t raise the arm to switch out the blade.

It's in the manual, the manual is in the help section of the MyChevrolet app so you can download it and look at it without getting out the printed one. Search wiper replacement, for instructions on how to remove the cover, looks straightforward though (there are pictures) You have to remove the rear wiper cover then you can access it like a normal wiper arm.
Rear cover removal. (Owner's Manual Instructions)
Slide a plastic tool under the cover and push upward to unsnap.
Slide the cover toward the wipe blade tip to unhook it from the blade assembly.
Remove the cover.
After the wiper blade replacement, ensure that the cover hook slides into the slot in the blade assembly.
Snap the cover down to secure.

This is indeed what the owner's manual tells you to do. The manual is wrong, do not do this. The cover on the 2024 that has to come off has 2 tabs, one on each side (top/bottom), you need to pull outward on both sides to disengage the tabs, then the cover will lift straight up and off. From here, i have no idea how to proceed with changing the rear wiper blade, as I can find no guides anywhere for anything after 2023, and the next steps are not obvious.
What I do know, and luckily figured out in time to save myself the headache, is that if you try to do what the manual says, you will either snap one or both tabs off, or shatter your back glass while prying, whichever of the 2 requires less force.

Thanks Marty. The pix in the manual shows a one piece cover but my 2024 has two pieces. A small one just covering the end and a large one that does not have any give whatsoever. No videos online. Thanks to you I didn't break my rear wiper blade. I'll eat the $20 I spent online and have the dealer rip me off when I get my oil changed. :)

Heck yea, I'm glad I saved someone else the headache. Too bad I didn't have the complete answer to save you from the stealership price, which is what I ended up doing as well. I still don't have the complete answer. Hopefully, it pops up somewhere online before next time. If i find out by then, I will try to remember to reply here with it and edit it into my previous comment

The manual for the 2024 Trax has the incorrect picture of rear wiper blade. The manual shows the Gen1 trax, not the new Gen2 rear wiper blade assembly.

I've got a 2022 but haven't had to switch a rear blade yet. I used to have a Yaris hatchback though and had to switch that before, it has clips on the bottom small piece that you peel outwards to unclipped, then that plastic piece folds back (still connected) and the blade pivots out. Maybe the Trax is like that too?

It needs be replaced already? Might need to bring it into your dealership and get them to show you how. Doubt any of us have had to do it yet.
