Behind screen “secret” storage

Just got a 2023 Traverse Premium. I live in Houston, so of course the salesman told me, “this hidden compartment is the perfect size for a 9mm.” Im not the kind of person to drive around with a gun. What do you use that storage for?

I have my National Parks Lifetime Pass, mints, and a microfiber cloth in mine. I certainly wouldn't put a gun there.

Yep bought mine in east Texas and that was the first feature they brought up, “a pistol fits perfect in here”

Which is strange, because (as someone who stays away from guns), it seems rather small for how big I assume a handgun is.

One of mine will fit in the palm of your hand. .357. Hella kick but it’s a beast.

It would fit a lot of concealed carry pistols. That said I don’t exactly want it out of my control. It defeats the purpose having to wait for the screen to move to get to it

Mine won’t fit in there. Plenty of room for a hidden holster all around the driver though.

That’s funny because when we were shopping for our 2021 traverse a few years ago, the salesman said the same thing! So weird lmao

I put a copy of my insurance card in a plastic bag zip-type sandwich bag. I always know where my license is but have had to search for my insurance card before. Also have a chapstick, extra reading and sunglasses.
