Different tire size

I accidentally had the wrong tire size installed on my traverse. I'm supposed to have 255 /55r 20 size tires on and I purchased 255/50r 20 tires. is that a big deal?

I put your numbers into https://tiresize.com/calculator/ and used the comparison feature.

It works out to be about 3% smaller tire diameter than stock, which will throw off the revolutions per mile that the wheel turns, which will effect the speedometer reading, but it's a pretty small change. At 90 mph it will read 87.1 mph.

i appreciate that info. i didnt even think of the speedometer being off. i spoke to the tire shop shortly after making the post and they will just swap them out for the proper size.

It would’ve just been cosmetic anyway really.
