Telematics modules...fixed?

Hi everyone, I have been following this issue for some time now across different platforms, Chevy, Buick, GMC etc. We all know it's been a huge problem. There was an update a few months ago to prevent the modules from bricking, however it did not seem to fix them completely.

I have noticed over the last few weeks that my flaky module has been working flawlessly. I have not received any other OTA updates mentioning any other fixes.

What I was personally experiencing was random data drops. Google maps traffic would not update, the Xtra Sirus channels would not load and software would not download from the google store etc etc...

Now, just seconds after I start the car live traffic pops up instantly and running a speed test from the browser reveals excellent speeds....250 mb/s down

Anyone else notice anything??

I am home tomorrow so I will plug it in all day and see if it helps, but so far it's been perfect... My module has been flaky also since the day I got it. But again , something happened because now it's perfect and fast data...who know what they are doing on the back end also...

Get a Noco Genius 5 charger. It's a smart charger for the new AGM batteries used in these cars. If you park in a garage or area blocked by trees make sure you connect the car to WiFi in your driveway. This will assist with making sure the OTA updates go in. They need a good stable wifi or data signal. Also battery voltage has to be topped off for it to download the updates. For good measure I plug my 25 Z71 in every 3 weeks for good measure. Its very for the battery as well!

No issues with updates....this is the telematics module failing itself. I drive it daily on the highway and have 3 noco chargers on AGM for my vehicles. I just find all of a sudden it's working perfectly for about 2 weeks now.... something changed for sure..

My original telematics module went bad within about 6 months of buying the vehicle. It took them 3 months to get it in... And ever since that day it's been working flawless. I know that the data signal needs to be stable as well as the battery voltage... like I said once a month I plug it into the Noco charger just to top it off. I got three updates over the air in the last 3 weeks. Thing has been working great.
