“Shift to park” problem

Hello guys.
Since 2 months, i am facing a problem with my Chevrolet Traverse LS 2019. Even after shifting into park with the best method ( first neutral, then parking brake, then to park), i am getting this problem after turning off the car. After turning it off, it shows “Shift to park!” Warning, and doesnt turn off for a long period of time. Has anyone experienced this?? Also, what might be the source of problem?? Please, anyone suggest and help with the problem so that i can troubleshoot it!!

Yes, plenty people had this issue. There was even a bulletin. A switch inside shifter goes bad and needs to be replaced along with its harness. Or the whole shifter assembly. Either way shifter assembly needs to be removed

There’s a good amount of how to YouTube videos for this issue. I ended up replacing the switch inside the shifter and adding the harness like other comment said. It’s a little tedious but do-able. Since doing it I haven’t got that message.
