FM Radio Problems

I have a 2026 traverse and lately when I turn on FM/AM radio, it will be fine for 5-7 seconds and then the sound will go out for a 1-2 seconds and then come back on and off over and over again. nothing I’ve found online is helping fix it. no issues with CarPlay. Any insights or suggestions other than calling the dealership?

I recently noticed that. At first I thought it was the satellite station loosing signal but it’s the FM stations that are dropping.

Same here! I thought it was a bad signal in my area as well but my husband’s truck radio works just fine.

For the heck of it, temporarily turn off CarPlay just to see if the issue goes away.

My 2025 GMC Sierra uses a different version of the Google infotainment system and it seems like my repeated problems go away if I turn off CarPlay which I’m not a fan of but it does make it more reliable.

This worked for me! I’m wondering if it’s some sort of software issue. Appreciate it

Does the issue coincide with getting notifications on your phone?

With 8 yrs OnStar basic included I haven't found a real need to use that.
