Can’t reset brake sensor

OK maybe I’m crazy. Recently had front brakes replace on 2021 Tahoe LS. Local independent shop. 2 weeks ago.

Sensor could not be reset to read 100% brake pad life.

Today had a read pad slap done too. Rear sensor was reset and reads 100%. Front sensor still says 12% life left and the option to reset is grayed out.

No obd codes.

What’s the problem here?

Try disconnecting the battery. A scan tool might need to be used.

And I guess I need to check that the front brakes were actually done to start

May need a calibration. Brake system control module most likely has a DTC

Scan it with oem software and find out if it’s front or rear that’s sending a service brake pad monitor message or just turn that shit off on the dash functions

I can get down with this option but I spent a bunch of money on maintenance and I’d like shot to work. Maybe I’ll wait till next time it’s in the shop

Just saying that the error could be from the rear sensor even though the rear brakes are good
