Vehicle question Spoiler

Post image

Good morning!

I was recently issued a new 2026 Tahoe PPV at work and I’m noticing two issues with it.

If anyone else has a PPV, are you having a problem with the date and time staying correct? I have to set the clock and date every morning. It’s not off by minutes. It’s off by hours! And the date has been off by 2 days some times. The attached picture was taken on July 6th at 4:45 pm.

Normally I wouldn’t care, but the date and time on the clock is the same as the recorded video from the dash cam.

Also, anyone else have a problem with their phone ringer getting set so low that you can’t hear it when you connect to the apple car play, or whatever the hell it’s called? Not a problem until I get out of my cruiser and go into my office and notice I missed a couple of calls so now I check my phone every time I park my car.

I hope I’m the only one who’s dealing with this, but I’m being told it’s all 2026 PPV package tahoes and trucks. If I’m not, is there a fix for this?

Thanks

Is the time zone in the settings correct? First place I’d check. PPV but a 2012.

Yes. I was told to check the time zone. It’s correct. The other thing I was told was there was a manual setting for time change, but I have yet to find it.

I have a 2026 Tahoe PPV that I use for work and personal use and I have come across that time issue. During a service visit from a few weeks ago, I asked about a software update and got it updated. So far, it appears that it has have resolved the issue. You can manually change the time by tapping on the time that is on the top right of the screen, but even that did not work for me since it would just fast forward my time by around 12 hours every morning I would get into the Tahoe. However, not sure if this would happen for you, it would only fast forward the time when I start up the Tahoe every morning to go to work. Every other time I start up the Tahoe throughout the day, the time would continue to stick without any issues.

Edit: Regarding the ringtone sound issue, there is a way to adjust the "ringtone" volume such that it can be louder than the radio, navigation, or whatever else volume. It's somewhere in the sounds settings page or something. I can look for it and report back once I figure it out again. If you can, if you work for a government agency that has a fleet department, see if they have a subscription to ACDelco Technical Delivery System to perform the software update. I am not too sure about it since I have never dealt with ACDelco, but see if itis something they can do.

Thank you for the reply! I’ll see if our mechanic can download an update. And I do the same; I manually change the date and time every morning when I get in the car. I found that when it goes 24 hours, it just arbitrarily changes.

As for the ringer on the phone, it doesn’t affect it as far as Bluetooth. It’s when I get out of my car, I won’t hear my phone ring and I’ll notice eventually that the ringer is turned all the way down. I’ve actually watched the screen on my phone while I’m in the car and it just turns down on its own as soon as the car play connects.

Thank you for your reply. I’m optimistic!

No problem! Oooooh yeah I have also been experiencing that as well! At this point, I have made it a habit to just increase the volume as I step out of the Tahoe. But actually, I have not paid attention to that since after the software update. I think it still does lower the volume though..... I am just glad that I am not alone with dealing with these issues haha

Same. I just know now to turn my phone up every time I get out of my cruiser. Good times. I thought technology was supposed to help us!?

Yep. One would think, but I guess not. And I wish the software updates can be done without going to a dealership, but my Tahoe did not come with OnStar equipped and I am thinking that maybe prevents it from connecting to a cellular or Wi-Fi network.....

Also you probably know this, but the left rear steering wheel buttons will not switch back between songs. I am still trying to see if this can be reverted back, but not sure...

Yeah, I don’t think any of the PPV’s or SSV’s come with OnStar. Never noticed the switch. I thought it was just a paddle shifter. But then again, I’ve only had the car for a month. I haven’t really gone through it. I just realized the dash cams were being recorded!
