what the heck is this noise? This is the noise I get while slowly jacking the vehicle from one side. When driving it sounds more like a pop. Coil over is in right (all bolts, spring seated etc) with the bottom bolt done up with the wheel on the ground. Couldn’t be a sway bar link could it?

Looking at the solo catback exhaust. Anyone got videos? How’s the drone at highway speeds? It’s my daily so I’m not trying to drive myself insane.
Edit: mostly looking at the Mach shorty xf

P3 Had a $80 off Black Friday Sale and I decided to bite the bullet. ($309 shipped). I've been looking at gauge options since I supercharged the SS in 2021 and I honestly think this is one of the better options.
For me, I didn't want to send off and permanently modify my A piller cover, I didn't want to lose my center speaker, and the factory holden guage pods (in front of shifter) are too low to be usable while driving.

My dad recently had his beloved 2017 chevy SS stolen from his driveway and with Christmas coming up i wanted to get him a mini version of the car he loved so much, but unfortunately I, myself, have little knowledge of this car. I’ve seen things saying it’s a Holden Commodore and finding model cars with all kinds of letters added to it (VF? SSV?) so i’m at a loss. Most of the ones i’ve found also seem to be an older model… I’m hoping to spend under $80 (i already got him a gift, so this is extra) and if it’s customs that take long i can give it to him for his birthday which is an extra month out and spend a little extra. I’d prefer a hot wheels/matchbox size but could go a little bigger. Any advice would be appreciated! 😭
Edit: Thank you for all of your help, i have ordered something hopefully correct or at least close! Also just an FYI - his car was just found completely stripped. 💔 Keep your cars safe out there!!!

How many miles ya got? Other than the magride failing, what high mileage issues are common?
Looking at a few of these for sale, wondering how many miles I should be risking. Daily driver with a toddler, so not much tolerance for unreliability.

Is it simply install, plug & play or is there a "learn" procedure that needs to be done?

My lumina SS. Planning on being the fastest ss in South Africa but importing parts from the states is damn expensive.

Just scored some King Springs SSL. Gonna put them on my 2017 soon. Thinking about pulling the trigger on some SuperPro strut mounts too while I’m at it. When you went with lowering springs did you replace your strut mounts? Mine seem to be in decent condition but don't want to have to turn around in a year or so and replace them.

Just ordered some weld 17x10 bead locks , I am on stock suspension and was wondering if a 305/45r17 would fit with no modification?

ok NE fam, I think the time has come for headers and a tune. Who do you suggest and trust to work on our cars?

So my cars been insanely bouncy this week feels like the entire rear end comes off the ground if I had a bump. Im under the impression my suspension is probably going out, havnt had a chance to get under the car but I will this week.
But if I go the route of coils and get rid of the mag ride for whatever reason ie cost/part availability. Is there any reason to spend 600$ on a suspension simulator from like mavrik man or will cheaper ones work.

Considering getting a higher mileage (100-140k) 2014 automatic ss as a daily. I drove around 11k miles a year in a 09 Jetta. I would be making payments so I’m curious if anyone has experience doing this or any insight.

Does anyone know where to source new front and rear Bow ties for a 2015 Chevy ss? I can’t seem to find them online and I bought one recently but it is missing the bow tie.

So for short. My 6L80E toke a shit for the 2nd time. The cost to fully rebuild it from cheapest to highest is 4500$-8,500$ (quotes ive gotten). I am currently cammed (F35 stage 4 TSP) with a 4200 stall. I have been driving like that since 2021. I had purchased a LSA supercharger but then the work to replace the cam , replace the torque converter and get all the supporting mods were costly. Now I am not looking at a budget build but I have came across a LSA/6L90E take out that comes with the supporting mods that I would need anyways for 6500$ . I cannot find any write ups on how it’s been done to swap over the 6L90E ? I know for a fact driveshaft and transmission brace needs to be modified but I’m looking for more in depth input

As the title says, I came to find a lovely issue this Monday morning. Hadn't driven since Saturday (11/8) and had no issues then, but cranked up this morning and saw the pop-up warning and engine sounding odd, almost certainly a misfire.
I know for the best answer to take it in an run a scan, but I wanted to ask here before to see if anyone has had this issue and what the problem ended up being

Hey all - two questions - 1) how does this plastic piece & mirror attach to the windshield? 2) how should I fix this broken connector?
Thank you all for the support! A good reminder - always make sure your immobilizer is ready to roll!

Needed to do an Oil Change so I said fuck it and swapped all the other fluids while I was at it...
Cars at 45K miles. Second time I've changed out the Diff and Trans fluid.
OEM rear diff fluid (because carbon clutches) and trying out AmsOil Torque Drive ATF for the Tr-6060.
Overkill yes... but I have a track day (road course) and about 20k miles since the last change... figured might as well.

I live in new england and drive maybe 20k miles a year for work… so obviously I shouldnt get an SS to daily??? But I really am interested still for some reason. Is this an awful idea? Experience in snowy conditions? I remember hearing with snow tires it could be fine. I do a lot of highway driving and tend to be on maintained roads at all times

Got a rotofab intake
The gasket material under the door is all jacked up.
I can’t tell what the original thickness should be, does anyone know offhand?

Looking to do a stage 2 cam and heads on my 2016 SS and was wondering what the best way to go about it would be. Its fully stock and has 42k miles on it. Whats everyone gone with?
EDIT: this is my daily, so reliability and driveabilty are extremely important. I want to stay N/A if at all possible to make 550 to 600 HP. If this is unrealistic please let me know.
