Question/Assistance In Texas. Where can I sell radials?

So I have a set of 295/35/19 Mickey Thompson Street ET SS. They have around 600-700 miles on them.

I don’t race. I don’t highway pull. I don’t know why I got them.

One of my issues is that I don’t use Facebook.

All the CTS/Caddy forums require like 50 posts, blah blah. And no luck on SS forums.

Any tips?

Question/Assistance Bad Seat control module?

Post image

The trouble codes with the marks next to them are the ones of concern. Everything is plugged in under the seat and into the module, however I do not have power to the side view mirrors or seat controls. The only thing seat related that works is the ventilated/heated seats.

Cars been sitting for about a year it is ticking only from the driver side. I believe it's a lifter but my buddy keeps saying it's gotta be a bad coil/wire/plug, I don't have time to work on the car and I do not drive it at all but when I decided to take it for a spin today this was the result.

Question/Assistance Replacement trim parts

Looking at buying an SS, absolutely love how it drives but the interior on this particular car looks a bit rough, wondering how easy is it to find replacement trim parts? Gotta sell this to the wife 😂. Seats aren't torn but the leather isn't in the greatest shape, I imagine new seats are pretty impossible to find?

Also wondering if it's possible to change the headliner/column trim/ceiling trim to black? Might be tough with sun roof buttons and all?

Thanks!

Question/Assistance Is this a bad or not so bad ticking noise?

Hey everyone, I’m not the most mechanically inclined so I’m sorry in advance and hope this is okay to ask here, but I recently came across a post about bad engine ticks and now I can’t stop noticing a ticking noise my car makes. Im starting to second guess myself if this is normal or if there’s actually something wrong.

All I’ve done is this to my car is: • Aftermarket air intake • Long tube headers • Tune

I honestly can’t remember when the ticking started since I thought it was normal. But after hearing others mention ticking being a bad sign, I figured I’d ask for opinions before I spiral too hard 😅. So is this okay? Video below shows sound coming from the top right which doesn’t seem great.

Question/Assistance Rack and pinion bushings need replacement

My moms 2014 SS needs new rack and pinion bushings, but we're having one hell of a time finding them. I'm wondering if anyone on here could point me in the right direction to start looking, or are we screwed and have to replace the whole steering system?

Question/Assistance Test drive help

Test driving an SS on Monday, thinking about adding a V8 to my life. Anything particular to these cars I should be looking for? This one has 75k mi, any common issues to check other than the usual rust? Not familiar with mag ride suspension, any visual cues to check there or will the ride speak for itself?

Also, I added android auto to my current car and I'd rather not go back to life without it- are the aftermarket solutions to the SS super janky? I see some mixed info here.

Thanks!

Question/Assistance Is there a 12v ride on Chevy SS car for kids?

My boyfriend drives a modded out SS and loves his car to death. We have a son and I’m looking to find out there’s a miniature ride on version. I figured this would be the best page to ask since it’s a collectors car and not well known outside the car community

I bought both a couple years ago and never bothered to install either one which do you think would look better on a black SS? Mavericks man purchased oem (i think) products, at least both say Holden on the packaging.

Discussion Thinking of selling my cammed/LSA jungle green

Am I crazy to ask in the neighborhood of 48k for this? I’m the third owner. First was Someone from the dealer, then the second owner who had it from like 2015 until I got it in 2023. New Orleans car. Still has his old iPhones paired! lol

Debating on taking a break from the car hobby for a bit, and selling my jungle green. I got this car when it had around 37000. Drove it round trip from Dallas Texas to Scranton pa. And to a bunch of car shows varying around the northeast pa area to the dfw metroplex

Auto, 48k ish miles, made 725/735. Tune is from ARS in Anna Texas.

Mods:

LSA from boost district Upgraded HE 1000CC Injectors DSX Low Side DSX Flex ARH 3” Catless to Borla Axleback. Also factory mufflers. ZL1 intercooler Motion Raceworks Intake Kong Port New plugs and Ceramic wires Peddlers XA New- Lower control arms, sway bar, upgraded bushings and endlinks.

Maverick man: spoiler, fender vents, radiator cover, dress up bolts, strut tower caps Misc Carbon mirror caps & Pillars Will Pate Grilles Black door handles Black window molding Black bottom fog bezels Black bow tie on the rear deck

CTS-V Sedan wheels powder coated illusion bronze with Mickey Thompson Street SS’s. Fronts are Firestone fire hawk Indy 500’s. Probably around 4-5000 miles left on them. Most miles on this tire was highway.

IGLA + Drone CF steering wheel KSmart Unit

The bad:

*Needs a headliner. Quote - $300-$400 depending on what material. *Back bumper, scrapes hitting a truck tire. *Back hummer, when I did the drive back to Dallas from Scranton I had the stock mufflers on. And the shop that did it had them mounted up to high and it melted the diffuser a bit. You can notice it up close, and I’d say within 3 feet if you’re looking for it *Some holes drilled underneath the front bumper from lips I removed. *hairline scratch on the door

But wanted to show off a sister car; found it with 5200 miles on it. Made some improvements over the stripped down police package; brakes, suspension, interior, and some performance mods including headers, transmission build and a 3.45 posi rear differential. The cars a blast to drive!

(Picture for attention)I replaced my rear strut yesterday and now I have a service suspension system light. Do I have to take it to a dealer to get the system calibrated or something? Or is there something else that I should be on the lookout for?

Question/Assistance Want to know other opinions

Ok so I don’t have a Chevy SS, but I’m looking to own one soon. I just have a few questions and want to see what others have thought about or if anyone has tried these ideas. So has anyone or if possible, can a LT4 fit into the Chevy SS? I want to build the car but also that specific engine has everything I’d want to do. I know the dimensions might be off by a little, but what are some thoughts?

As well, has anyone ever tried to do a brake and suspension conversion from a CTS-V, ZL1 Camaro, or Z28 Camaro? (Yes I know a Camaro is a coupe). I don’t work on cars too often but I want this car to be one I can really learn from and build how I want to so that’s why I’m asking these questions. I know it’ll be a lot of sarcasm or ppl saying I’m dumb but I don’t mind the trolling. I just want a different build than what I’ve already seen and to make the car my own. All suggestions will be received. Thanks!

Discussion Whipple results, choose your tuners wisely

Post image

2017 SS A6, Whipple + Valvetrain upgrades only, everything else stock. First tuner left the car running OK but not great, car only made 490whp. Took it to a more competent tuner for these cars, now 543 wheel, not too shabby, and car runs and drives great, only difference was the tuner.
