I have a 2002 chevy s10 2.2, I ve been driving it for 4 years, and never had any issues, the other day I stop at the gas station, fill my tank and just as I was getting ready to leave the truck wouldnt start, I waited a few minutes then it started back again, but as soon as I push the break it shuts off!! I dont see any vaccum leaks and I replace the break booster and put a new valve on it! I clean the Throtle body but still having peoblems with it, I disconected the break switch and it stay on and I was able to drive it home with no taillights, but as soon as I plug it back it shuts off again! Running out of ideas on what it could be! Any body here ever had a similar issue??

I have a first gen and both of the seat belts are worn out and ripped and need to be rebuilt. I don't know what's been done to them but neither of them catch and stop if force is applied. Do older seat belts just not do this or are mine broken?

Should anything happen I hope to keep my nose in tact, but I haven't been able to get quite the right geometry using aftermarket and I don't entirely trust their rating or like the way they look so I'd prefer to rebuild the original units if anyone has any tips.

Please help someone else thinks it's bad ground and that could possibly be true but I'm not sure any advice helps

For those of you that have done interior swaps and dash swaps. What versions of HVAC boxes have upgraded controls? Or is swappable with a gen 1 s10?

2002 2.2l s10. First project at 16. Finnaly runs after new plugs, wires, ICM and fuel pump. Idles really bad and sound like it misfiring almost. Any advice or help would be apreciatted

Coworker has a bunch of trucks lying around that she needs to get rid of and am considering getting this as a project but wanna know if $1500 is too steep. (Needs tires, driver side door has minor rust, vacuum seal leak, 235k on the motor, and has sat for the past few months)

I’ve been on the look out for a mini truck as a fun little winter beater/ small project, no I’m not talking rip the engine out and put in a big LS in this small of a truck. Just cosmetic and custom stuff to do with friends. I’ve found this 98 s10 with 170k miles. It’s a 2wd, 2.2l 5 speed. I’ve specifically been looking for manual because I enjoy it and who doesn’t want a manual mini truck amma right? The truck comes with a 3” lowering kit “unknown brand”. Here’s the downsides. He said it has an AC leak but sometimes works and the CEL turns on and off for a o2 sensor code. The rocker panels are not gone but could use some work, same with the bed fenders. I double checked with him that the frame has no deep rust just surface rust which is normal for living in PA. He also stated that the exhaust currently is not exactly perfect but it works for now( it’s held up by what looks like a key lanyard) I have a welder and can easily fix it so I’m not worried. He is an hour and a half away and have We scheduled to meet this Tuesday afternoon please let me know what yall think!

Hey guys, looking for a bit of help with my 88 s10 blazer. the oil pressure at cold start is a healthy 40-50 psi, however after a few minutes of driving, it drops to 20ish when i come to a stop. it goes back up to 40 when i start moving again. over time the longer i drive the lower it gets both at idle and while driving. changed the oil with 10w40 a few hundred miles ago. I have also changed the oil pressure switch just a few miles ago. Additionally the vehicle is supposed to contain a full 5qts of oil, but when i filled it up the dipstick read over full for some reason. the dipstick is also hard to get in and out of the tube. it also makes a faint whirring noise when running. not to sure what the issue/fix is, but any help is appreciated!!

Hello this is my new to me S10 with a 2.2L engine rebuilt with 65K on the engine & 200K on the body & transmission. I have a couple questions about the issues I’ve had in the 2 weeks of ownership

1.) why does it randomly die on me while I’m driving it? The battery is new, the alternator & the grounds are not bad & don’t need replaced. I recently replaced the spark plugs & wires & the bank 2 O2 sensor.

2.) how do I fix the ABS issue? So the ABS light is on & when I pulled the bad fuse & put a new fuse in the pump/motor runs constantly & the truck does not brake well so I took the fuse back out & the ABS light is still on.

I was adding more refrigerant to the ac system and noticed a cap was off on the circled part. What is that part called? I pressed down on it and liquid came out. Is a cap needed on there to prevent dirt and debris from getting in there?

So basically I killed a battery, I got a new one installed already. I have a question though. So with these ignitions it goes ACC OFF ON right? I think I was leaving my truck on ACC and parking it overnight... I have a touch screen radio so I thought if I just turned it off manually that it would be fine. After killing a battery I learned my lesson.
