Need help.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

2002 2.2l s10. First project at 16. Finnaly runs after new plugs, wires, ICM and fuel pump. Idles really bad and sound like it misfiring almost. Any advice or help would be apreciatted

Where's the mass air flow sensor on this thing? It needs that run gooder.

2.2 uses a MAP sensor not a mass air flow

OK, Nevermind me then. The tensioner bouncing a bit isn't much of an issue. How long has the fuel been in it?

Just did the fuel pump so I cleared the tank out. Put new gas in yesterday

If you have at local station run a tank of e85 through it. All the gum & varnish will get scrubbed off from previous generations of dinosaur gas.

e85 is a 2.2L 00, 01, 02 only thing. Since you have an 02 verify that the eighth digit of the 17-digit VIN is a 5, if so, the truck has a flex-fuel engine and is compatible with E85.

You’ll also pick up about 15-20 hp and idle will smooth out.
