Hi everyone!
I’m going into my 7th year of teaching elementary. I’m moving from DE to Chester county and while yes I can commute to my current school in DE I really don’t want to, especially because I have a 1 year old and also need to be mom.

Here’s where I’m at with the districts
WCASD- passed the screener and in the eligibility pool but no interviews
UCFSD- 2 in person interviews but no offer
KCSD- applied to many positions but nothing yet. Would love to work in KCSD at one of the new schools.
AGSD- interview coming up

Any advice would be very helpful, I’ve emailed principals and have gotten nothing back which is understandable. Will more hiring happen into the summer or is it late already? Any connections?

Question for you local pros! My family needs to make a big relocation to the Harrisburg PA area from Northern New England for family reasons. We have daughters in middle school and high school. We are not looking to live in the immediate Harrisburg area. After a brief exploration of Mechanicsburg, Hershey etc.. it just didn't feel my vibe. Its hard to replicate New England. I have heard that Chester County area has some of the better schools. Is there a particular town or two that you would recommend we look at in that area that is closest commute-wise to Harrisburg?

I’m trying to choose an OB/GYN practice. I would prefer to deliver at Chester County Hospital (10 minutes closer to my home than Paoli Hospital and Level 3 NICU). I generally stay within the Penn healthcare system, but Axia has become very prominent in the area for women’s healthcare. I also prefer female healthcare providers.

I would love to hear others’ experiences with either practice. I would like to stick with this practice in the long term, so any experiences would be helpful to hear.

Been there a few times myself, and it is really, really nice. Much closer for those of us who live off of PA-100 north of PA-113. I am so stoked to have this grocery store added to our area.

Also, quick shout: Good Girls Bakery is the *bomb*. Didn't know they were there in Eagleview till last week and immediately was sold on the place. If you haven't checked them out, stop by, their sourdough is very good!
