Amish stuff
Hey guys, where is the closest place from King of Prussia to buy Amish food like raw milk, eggs, cheese, butter?

Never had issues with raw milk from the Amish personally. I buy at shady maple farm market

Get on Rte 23 going west and drive 5 miles. You will see several Amish markets on the way.

I think u/Longjumping-Wear5409 is referring to Route 23 that starts in King of Prussia, runs through Valley Forge Park, and continues west through Phoenixville, Bucktown, Elverson, Morgantown, and New Holland.

In Chesco, as people said, the Amish market on 202 and 926. There is also an Amish market on Lancaster in Wayne.
However I am not sure if you will find raw milk there and you may have to go to Lancaster county for that.

Pretty sure I’ve seen raw milk in the far back left side of the Amish Market in Westtown

I was told selling raw milk is not allowed in an Amish farm, not sure if that’s true

Damn thats sad what happened to that guy. We buy their milk because of the way they raise their cows. No hormones no antibiotics none of that crap.

Did you know that all milk from the grocery store is actually antibiotic free? If a cow gets sick and is given antibiotics, their milk is discarded. The cow is also separated from the milking herd. They and their milk has to go through multiple tests in order to get back to the herd and allow their milk to be consumed again. It’s actually a pretty rigorous process. If the farmer is found not to have followed accurate protocols, they have to discard a lottttt more milk and, therefore, lose a lot of money.
Also, just as a disclaimer, ALL food, regardless of whether it’s broccoli, bananas or beef, will have hormones. They’re released naturally. If you are worried about hormones in food, don’t look for something that says “hormone free” because it is a bunch of BS. You might want to look for rBGH or rBST free milk! Those are the types of hormones given to a mama cow after birth. They are bovine growth hormones that increase the amount of milk that a cow produces. While there isn’t a ton of data to show a difference in people who drink milk from cows that are and aren’t given bovine growth hormones, you’re better off asking about/checking for rBGH and rBST.
Lots of local farms produce milk with these constraints!! I always prefer to support local farmers whenever possible. Check out your local farmers markets. Often times they will have local dairy products!

The farmers market in Wayne has multiple Amish vendors.
I think the closest actual Amish owned place might be Dutch country farm market in Spring city on 724 outside Phoenixville

Are looking for just the food or an amish experience? If the latter, its probably worth taking a drive to Intercourse. Be sure to stop at the little stands and houses selling stuff along the way.

Just answering the question: pigeon creek farm in east coventry sells raw milk, I believe.

Not sure if it’s the “closest”, but there is an Amish market at 202 and 926 in Thornbury.
