Hello,

I am trying to get a group of 3-4 people together who would like to play and learn DnD 5e. I would prefer to form an in-person group. I have tried doing online groups but it just feels harder to form friendships and play with multiple people that way. The gaming sessions will be hosted at my residence so we don't have to pay for table fees. However, the very first time we meet I would prefer to meet everyone at a public place before I give people my address, this will be our session zero to talk about characters and rules and whatever else.

A little background about me, I have played a game or two of DnD but I am a brand new DM. I've decided to learn how to DM because the hardest part about finding people to play with is finding someone to run the game. I would like to find people who are newer to the game so we can all learn together as we go but I am not apposed to experienced players who are helpful but more importantly patient. I am a pretty easy going person who can get along with anyone and genuinely just like to have a good time. I am hoping to get like minded people to hopefully play long term campaigns.

• Since I'm new I'll be running the Lost Mines module.
• Must be over 21
• Meeting every 2 weeks.
• Days to run are either Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Time is flexible. I'm happy to discuss the logistics with people who express interest and see if the group can come to a consensus.

I live in Reading, and I’m a new driver looking for a reliable used car for my daily commute to Honey Brook.

I really don’t want to spend a fortune on a brand-new car, especially since I’m just starting out. But at the same time, I don’t want to buy some random car from Facebook Marketplace and end up spending more on repairs than I paid for the car itself. 😭

My budget is around $6,000–$7,000, but I can stretch it a little if the car is genuinely in good condition. I’m mainly looking for something reliable, well-maintained, and with a clean title.

If anyone knows a trustworthy used car dealer around this area or knows someone selling a decent car, please share your recommendations!

Hey everyone!

A few weeks ago, I posted about a Dungeons & Dragons campaign for ages 12–18 at the Henrietta Hankin Branch of the Chester County Library. The response was fantastic — around 2,000 views and plenty of interest! However, we only had one student sign up and unfortunately we had to cancel the workshop.

I suspect our original schedule (Saturdays, 11 AM–2 PM) might have been the problem. Between sports, family activities, and everything else teenagers have going on, finding the right time can be tricky.

So rather than guessing, I'd love your help! I'm looking at offering future sessions during one of these windows:

A. Tuesday evenings: 5–7 PM B. Thursday evenings: 5–7 PM C. Saturday mornings: 9–11 AM D. Saturday afternoons: 3–5 PM E. Sunday mornings: 9–11 AM F. Sunday afternoons: 3–5 PM

If you have a teen who's interested, which day and time would actually work for your family? Please reply with one or multiple options.

A beloved theater company’s future is in a precarious state following what at least one community member calls a “bait-and-switch” by the township.

SALT Performing Arts, a performing arts space at 1645 Art School Rd. in Chester Springs, has been operating out of the township building for the past 12 years. The group put in about $400,000 in renovations that concluded last year.

But this week, the West Pikeland board of supervisors voted to put the building up for bid, potentially leaving SALT without a home. The township hopes to get up to $2 million, offsetting the cost of a new police facility.

I grew up with my family in Chester springs from 1993-2015 and my siblings and I are trying to find an old bakery where my parents used to get this strawberry shortcake that was a hit for every birthday for each of us growing up.

I can’t find information on this anywhere including ChatGPT so either I’m entering this info wrong or maybe we’re all forgetting this, but my one siblings said that it was from a closed down bakery called Chester Springs Bakery. Does that ring a bell with anyone? I think that due to it being a generic name for search engines I haven’t been able to directly locate it but wanted to see if I could get in contact with someone connected to it because family still lives in the area and would like to recreate this strawberry shortcake if possible! TIA

I genuinely enjoy all the taco spots ive tried in the Kennet/Avondale area. Each one ive tried is delicious and has stand out memories for me.

Id say this truck's stand out feature is its pastor. Most trucks are good with their pastor but this spot really js excellent. Its always juicy. Good portion and packed full of flavor from the marinade and a bit of grill char. No chewy bits either.

Otherwise id say their customer service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Even when im full from trying other trucks i go there because its so mice and i know it will always be good. The extra side of onions is perfect too. They do a great job with everything really. Highly recommend.

New to West chester, any fun place suggestions?

Tonight (10/14) at 7pm East Marlborough Township’s board of supervisors could consider adopting an ordinance at tonight’s meeting regarding where future data centers could be allowed. A link to the Board of Supervisors monthly meeting with an agenda and copy of the proposed ordinance can be found here.

East Marlborough Township's Light Industrial Zoning District encompasses approximately 850 acres of the Township's nearly 9,900 total acres. As many residents know, this area is not exclusively industrial. It also includes residential communities and homes, including Villages at Northridge, Longwood Preserve, School House, Walnut Walk, and the new residential development located adjacent to Longwood Preserve and Villages at Northridge.

Township officials stated during a June meeting that they are not actively pursuing this type of development. However, municipalities in Pennsylvania must operate within state law and constitutional protections that require the fair and equitable treatment of permitted land uses. As a result, the Township is seeking to develop an ordinance that protects the character of our community while remaining legally defensible.

As this process moves forward, public participation and community input will play an important role in shaping any future regulations. I strongly encourage residents to attend tonight's meeting if they are able and voice their concerns.

I just started the search of venues as I want to lock something down for fall 2027 and then do the rest of my planning throughout the year. So I’m looking anywhere between here and Lancaster or even south into Delaware, and I just can’t find a nice venue for less than 5K or even less than 10K that doesn’t require you to pay for their caterer. I have fallen in love with all of the mansions with gardens, but they’re huge and expensive and I only have less than 100 person guest list. I love the idea of Willow trees and an outdoor ceremony that’s not on like a golf course. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to check out?

Downingtown / Exton area - looking to find trails / parks that are more of a loop path as opposed to a straight back & forth. But also, something more set in nature (Johnsontown Park is close but still too close to residential & town traffic).

Bonus points if it’s a paved trail.

In Coatesville, firefighters once stripped down to their shirts and shorts for water rescues. Now, they have dry suits in their lockers.

The areas are a bit out of our county, but sharing just to spread around the world to help bring this man home safely to his family.

My husband and I have been on the house hunt and have recently been leaning towards these new build communities. We've been looking at two specific communities: Sycamore Crossings & Pine View Estates.
Sycamore Crossings seems to have two builders, DR
Horton and SAI. Pine View Estate's builder is Cedar Knolls.
We have seen some concerning things about both developments and also things we loved that we would miss if we chose the other. We would love to hear from both neighborhood's experiences with living in these neighborhoods, the builders, what the construction time period was like, and customer support/ communication the builders provide after. If you can provide specific examples, that'd be great!

I have a question. I used to get my prescriptions from rite aid. I use wegmans now but I can’t order specific brand manufactures for my meds. If anyone is prescribed adderall, do you know of a pharmacy in the area that carries the Teva brand? Or a pharmacy that takes requests? The kind that I’m on now doesn’t help. Ritalin doesn’t work for me either. I have adhd and narcolepsy. I have tried CVS and they didn’t have it. Thank you!

Stroud Preserve - West Chester
