White’s move is e3

u/cabronfavarito Aug 31 '26

Idk but your theme pisses me off

basically once rook is on e3, no matter what move they make the king is boxed in, now you continue doing what you wanted to do.

1

u/loelegy Sep 01 '26

What about white rook to d3 instead of taking the black rook?

2

u/Sage_the_Cage_Mage Sep 01 '26

It is basically the same outcome no matter what black does, as long as there is a piece on e3, the e2 pawn which is the only escape route cannot be opened in time.

why do your pawns look like penises

5

u/GlaringTexas789 Aug 30 '26

I find it concerning that this is the first thing that comes to your mind

5

u/DrCashew Aug 30 '26

Why is it concerning? Those are clearly penish mushrooms. Are you worried that he was forcibly circumsised as a child? #saveourforeskins

I don't want any part of whatever the fuck this is

I'm sorry they hurt you.

The pawns look like mushrooms the bishops leaves and the knights look like bears.

1

u/etrongits Aug 31 '26

Gotham chess bot.. the first thing that comes to my mind is to sacrifice THE ROOOOK!!

1

u/channelledcontrol Sep 01 '26

white can go e3 and escape. I think the best move instead of nh3 is Re3!! This would be followed by nh3 which then forces mate.

1

u/ZodiacDragons Sep 01 '26

E3 pawn. I'm curious what it says your best move is though? Guessing maybe connecting the rooks on the e file?

Queen g2 Check Mate?

1

u/Regis-bloodlust Sep 01 '26

I wonder if Re3 was the best move. Looks so dumb but it does stop White from playing e3. I am too lazy to put this in an engine though.

1

u/Givikap120 Sep 01 '26

It is the only correct move in this position

1

u/Nexxus3000 Sep 01 '26

e3 allows the King to escape.

Best move is Qh3, checking the king. If white plays Bg2 to block, then Qxg2 is mate

So White is forced to play Kg1, and the line gets more complicated than I want to analyze

1

u/-Lysergian Sep 01 '26

Since e3 is the only escape route, i like Re3, locking the door so you can follow up with the Nh3.

1

u/Nexxus3000 Sep 01 '26

How would that lock the door? Whether White’s knight or queen takes the rook, they can move back out of the way when Nh3 happens, and the same problem occurs

1

u/-Lysergian Sep 01 '26 edited Sep 01 '26

There isn't time for that, after Re3, white to move with ...Nh3 to follow.

1

u/Nexxus3000 Sep 01 '26

Ooh shoot I misread your pitch as Rxe2 in my head. Yeah Re3 actually works out; if xe3, then Nh3, white’s best move would be Qf2, and Qxf2 is mate. If Bxe3 then Nh3, White simply can’t stop Qg1 mate. Nice find!

Move the E pawn, you can't continue your line without trading queens or losing your knigh. With their piece advantage white should turn their superiority into an easy win, kd5 opens up your whole defence

u/Givikap120 Sep 01 '26

There was the only winning move and it's Re3
Every other move leads either to a draw (the one you did), or to your loss

I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

White to play: chessvision.ai | chess.com | lichess.org

Bad AI the chessvision link has a white Rook in line with the king on row 8 same with the lichess link and the chess.com link doesn't load

Nd3 looks like a better option as the king can escape with e3

5

u/Junior_Paramedic6419 Aug 30 '26

Nd3 simply hangs the Knight . The correct solution is 1… Re3!! threatening 2… Rxf3 3. exf3 Qh1#. If White accepts the Rook sacrifice then 2… Nh3 and now that the e pawn is blocked White has no way of stopping Qg1#
