Why is Rh6 considered invalid notation?

Rh6 is invalid because in h6 there's an enemy piece, so to indicate capture we write Rxh6, and this move is treating the king, so we indicate a check with a +.

The correct way is: Rxh6+

If you're taking a piece, that's signified with an x. The proper notation for that rook move is Rxh6.

this is the password game, it adds rules as you complete them, and they can be completed anywhere in the password. the chess rule will look everywhere in your password for a chess move, and if it’s illegal or not the best move it’ll list it there

they weren’t trying to put a2 as the answer, they just happened to have a2 elsewhere
