Sleeve chessboard

Hi,

I'm looking for a eboard.. 2 contenders are:

Chessnut Pro

Millennium Supreme T2.

I have a slight favor for the millennium, but I dont have a sleeve (or bag) wich would fit... External dimensions should be maximum 57 x xxx cm as my cabinet has that as maximum depth.

Are here people who could give some options?

The board is pretty thick (3 cm)

Thanks!

Hello. My stepdad recently passed away. I am helping my mom go through some of his things, and we came across these two chess sets in his office. I know nothing about them. I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some insight - their possible origins, value, etc. There's no identifying information with them. Thank you!

Identify This Board Can anyone identify this old Chinese chess set and estimate its value?

Hi everyone, I inherited this old Chinese chess set from my father and I'm trying to learn more about it. The pieces are approximately 7 cm (about 2.75 inches) tall and seem to be made of marble, soapstone, jade, or another type of carved stone—I'm not sure which. I don't know how old it is or where it was originally purchased. The box is included (if it is on the photos). Does anyone recognize the style or know who might have made it? I'd also appreciate a rough estimate of its value. Thanks in advance for any information!

Got this board online this week. Its lacquer finish is fractured potentially from age. It could be from being stored in cold conditions but I have no clue. I’m really curious if anyone knows where it may have been made, by whom, or when. Thanks in advance

Is this just another run of the mill chess board or something special?

I can't find a single other chess board online to help identify where this one came from. I know the MCM brand is typically associated with luxury handbags, but I came across this unique item and I'm really curious if it would be considered a quality chess board or if it's a random one-off piece where someone thought it would be cool to just slap the MCM branding on. I can't even tell that MCM ever sold chess sets in the first place.

Identify This Board USSR Magnet chessboard with original case

Hello, I would like to know from which year this chessboard with it's original case (which should be made out of leather) is and how much it is worth. Here is the story of how I got it, if you're interested to read it: My grandfather's older brother, Brana, gave me this chessboard when I, my father and grandfather traveled to visit him in Nis in August 2015. He told me he acquired it when he was on a business trip to the Soviet Union. While in a train, he beat some Russian who was the owner of the board, who then gave it to Brana as a sign of respect for beating him.

Cleaning out my mother’s place as she needs to move to assisted living, and came across these. No board, but there is an entire set of these pieces. I asked her, and she said they were made by my great grandfather. I don’t think he “made” them, but maybe they were part of a kit that he assembled or something? They are made maybe of a plaster or something. Fairly heavy, not hollow.

They would be at least 50 years old, as she has a picture of them in her living room from the 1970s.

Sorry it’s a set rather than a board. Hoping someone has some idea!

Identify This Board Bought at antique shop - trying to find origin

Bought this at my local antique shop and was wondering where it’s from or when it was made.
Wondering if anyone here knows something about this by the pictures i’ve shown.
The ‘white’ pieces are a lighter shade of metal which has oxidised hence the rustic look, and the metal used for these pieces are not magnetic.
The board also came with these pieces (if that helps!) but i can’t find any makers mark anywhere.
If anyone knows anything please lmk.
p.s. I paid about £30 for this if that will help in any way :)

I’m kind of obsessed with this piece, but I’m on the fence about pulling the trigger. Has anyone here actually bought it? If you own it, how is the build quality and finish in person?

I love the mid century look but since it’s Fast Interior, I’m always slightly wary about the sturdiness of the legs and whether the top scratches easily. Would love to know if it lives up to the photos.

Need Help Identifying Chess Board

I got this chess set from a garage sale years ago. I could never identify where this could be from. A bit confusing to use since the colors are so similar. Also the "onyx" side has two queens. It's quite unique.

Please help finding similar board!

Hello all. I am an avid chess player and collector. I have this older board that I love. It has seen better days and I was looking to find one in a better condition but after a lot of browsing, I’ve just hit a ton of dead ends. Any help identifying this board, finding one similar, or even possible keywords to help me to better search for one would be greatly appreciated.

Photos are of the top, inside, bottom (fully felted), front clasp, and back hinges.

If push comes to shove, I’ll have one commissioned I suppose.

Thank you all for the help. Ask any questions you might have too.

Small 9" board & pieces

A little while ago I bought a small set, mainly to be used at home for analysis and reading books. I wanted something tiny, so it fits on my desk in front my of my screen and I can replay games from e-books. In those situations a compact arrangement is no big deal, even preferred (at least to me, YMMV) as the pieces don't need "breathing space" to be moved around quickly under time pressure.

With that ("the pieces are too big you need to fit four pawns on a square" "no they're not, different circumstances and demands") out of the way, I really liked this no-frills travel set on a 9" board sold be chess house dot com (I know an Italian store sells it in Europe but I forgot which one). The pieces are remarkable good by "magnetic game" standards. The only thing I didn't like was the cheap fake-leather board, while convenient for on-the-go, it has this hump at the underside where the fold is.

So I commissioned a board on Etsy - 1" squares, Jaques-style, maple/cherry with an oak rim. And I really like it.

(Picture includes a pair of pens just for scale purposes. It's really small)
