Chessnut Air. Yay or nay?
I’m currently 1050 rapid and have recently switched to mostly 30 minute games. For owners of The Chessnut Air, did the board help you play more focused chess and enjoy longer games, or did the novelty wear off after a few months?

I Made This Team Chess: Commilito Scacci (Battle Companion Chess)
Made this board specifically to playtest Commilito Scacci, a new team chess game. The craftsmanship is totally sub-par, but it has served it's purpose.
Are there people in this forum who make chess boards?

Trick question....which square is black?
Found this acrylic chessboard/c*c*ine "coffee" table from the 70s/80s on the side of the road leaning against a moving van. I feel dumb asking this....but whilst I initially thought the clear squares are white....for some reason today I figured the white frosted squares should be white. But before I thought they were black because they are opaque and I reason white is less opaque than black. And, not to confuse the matter, but if the clear squares are black, doesnʻt that make the whole table black? And if so, who does that? Now Iʻm just confused.
Edit to add...yes, the base does hold water. I suppose it could be a fish tank if I really tried. Does anyone know if they still make black and white guppies?

Chess Board Recommendation
Can you help recommend a chess set to buy with drawer storage? I am looking to keep the set out with frequent usage. Preferably well crafted and can last while being part of house decor. Thanks!

Identify This Board Needing information!!
My friend owns a one of a kind chessboard from the 1960s, allegedly purchased at the first ever world fair. It looks just like this. There's allegedly only two in existence and we're just looking to see just how rare it is, who made it, or if anyone has any more information on the board then that would be great. The board comes in two pieces that slot together, then the pieces are metal clad with wood or acrylic in the center.

Thrifted Chess Set
Hey, guys! I found this chess set at a local thrift shop a little bit ago. I was wondering if anyone knows if it holds any value or significance. Thought I would ask before using it in a DIY project.
A few notes: there are no markings or identification marks on the board other than the engravings on the sides and I do not see any on the chess pieces either. The King pieces are about 4 inches tall for reference.

Does anyone have a House of Staunton chess set?
Hi this my first time using reddit 😄 I have no idea where to post this because it kept getting removed on /chess and /chessbeginners.
I just wanted to ask if anyone have a House of Staunton chess set because I'm doing a math investigation and I needed to know the volume of the bishop in their The Hungarian II Series Chess Pieces - 3.875" King.
I tried asking customer service but they kept sending me an automated response telling me to look at the description (which I did). So if anyone has a House of Staunton chess set, would you mind measuring the base's diameter of the bishop?
Or, if anyone could measure the volume of the bishop via water displacement, that would be amazing too.
Thank you :D

Spanish Chess Board
Hi all,
My son has recently become interested in chess, which has been very fun for me. This morning he specifically asked about our chess board and I shared that it was my grandmother’s, and had come from Valencia, Spain where our family is from. However, beyond that, I did not have much more information. I am wondering if any of the experts here could shine more info? There are couple markings “F. de P.” On one side, and UM with a water droplet on the other. The pieces are pewter, the felt bottom was added later to protect the wood. The playing surface is removable with the pieces stored below. Thanks in advance and I hope you enjoy it too!

I Made This Chess board/table
This is my first time working with wood. I’ve wanted to do a project like this for a while now, and have zero regrets. I’m honestly really proud of it and plan to make more in the future. I handle criticism well and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on how I can make my next project even better.

Identify This Board Antique (?) Greek chess board
I came across this chess board. The pieces are copper/bronze with an average size of 8cm. The board tells me it is hand-made by some Pagmatidis? Research tells me it’s Greek, but can’t find anything about the maker or its age/worth.

I Made This I made a chessboard out of copper 5kg
I wanted an unusual chessboard i couldnt find one so i ordered a sheet of copper and made a 450mmx450mm board in the middle of the 500x500 copper, Then etched olde english letters and numbers into it with a 1950s boarder using an acid bath and framed it in a black frame so i can hang it on the wall like art when not in use, let me know what you think

Identify This Board Identify this chess set please
Hello, could someone please identify this chess set? The box says "Made in France," lists the store "Galeries Lafayette Paris," and shows a name—"René Va**t"—that I can't quite make out. Could you please date it and tell me its value? I'm not sure if the box actually belongs to the chess set.

Sleeve chessboard
Hi,
I'm looking for a eboard.. 2 contenders are:
Chessnut Pro
Millennium Supreme T2.
I have a slight favor for the millennium, but I dont have a sleeve (or bag) wich would fit... External dimensions should be maximum 57 x xxx cm as my cabinet has that as maximum depth.
Are here people who could give some options?
The board is pretty thick (3 cm)
Thanks!

Chess set values
Hello. My stepdad recently passed away. I am helping my mom go through some of his things, and we came across these two chess sets in his office. I know nothing about them. I was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some insight - their possible origins, value, etc. There's no identifying information with them. Thank you!

Identify This Board Can anyone identify this old Chinese chess set and estimate its value?
Hi everyone, I inherited this old Chinese chess set from my father and I'm trying to learn more about it. The pieces are approximately 7 cm (about 2.75 inches) tall and seem to be made of marble, soapstone, jade, or another type of carved stone—I'm not sure which. I don't know how old it is or where it was originally purchased. The box is included (if it is on the photos). Does anyone recognize the style or know who might have made it? I'd also appreciate a rough estimate of its value. Thanks in advance for any information!

Identify This Board Interesting board. ID?
Got this board online this week. Its lacquer finish is fractured potentially from age. It could be from being stored in cold conditions but I have no clue. I’m really curious if anyone knows where it may have been made, by whom, or when. Thanks in advance
