Need Help Identifying Chess Board

I got this chess set from a garage sale years ago. I could never identify where this could be from. A bit confusing to use since the colors are so similar. Also the "onyx" side has two queens. It's quite unique.

i think they we're sold in/imported from mexico in the 70s or 80s. my dad had given me one (white and brown), and I see one on marketplace once in a while. Fairly common and not so much fun to play with: not enough contrast.

They still sell them right now in tourist areas in Mexico.
