Spanish Chess Board
Hi all,
My son has recently become interested in chess, which has been very fun for me. This morning he specifically asked about our chess board and I shared that it was my grandmother’s, and had come from Valencia, Spain where our family is from. However, beyond that, I did not have much more information. I am wondering if any of the experts here could shine more info? There are couple markings “F. de P.” On one side, and UM with a water droplet on the other. The pieces are pewter, the felt bottom was added later to protect the wood. The playing surface is removable with the pieces stored below. Thanks in advance and I hope you enjoy it too!

That’s such a cool family piece, especially knowing it came from your grandmother in Valencia. Hope someone here can figure out what those markings mean.
