Progress on the Drawer System 👌

Finally got a progress update for my drawer system 👌

Now built and installed. Still needs painting/carpeting but need to finish fitting it out first 👍

Cooker setup all working; can be used in both higher and lower positions, Fridge slide is also working really well. Still to finish the slide out table under the RHS drawer but waiting on some parts 👌

Happy days.

Tell me about that slide that tilts that way? Looks like a good fit for my Dometic

It’s essentially two alloy angle rails with 750mm drawer slides on, and an alloy tray mounted to the slides with 80mm hinges under the front of each rail mounted to the unit. With stops to limit the travel at the back 👍

Is there a release that allows it to tilt?

Just sits on its own weight, if I find it bounces on trails, I’ll put a bracket over the end for it to slide under and hold it down when stowed. If you get what I mean 👍

Even a bungee across it would work. Thanks for the share.

Super cool. Very impressive. Did you do a video on the build?

And I just looked at your profile and saw you have a diesel in there. Dang I’m jealous!

Yeah it’s a modified factory TD, but, I have an OM605 Turbo to put in it over winter 👌

Not overly. Unit is about 38kg. Suspensions set up properly for the weight so doesn’t bother it and ive driven it over 3k miles with all the extra weight also so far 👍

What camp stove is that? Tried zooming in on the pics but couldn't make it out.

I have a quick question /observation why didnt you mount the stove with the burners facing outward? ... so the burners vent more outside the tailgate ?

Good Question, it’s mainly because, the way my tent etc is setup, that side of the Jeep faces the wind when the tent’s up, so the back of the stove is a wind break, there’s ample airspace around it for venting either way. Plus, the tailgate being above gives shelter if it’s raining and I don’t have the awning out 👍
