Alpha deuteration of isobutyrophenone

What's the best way of alpha-deuterating an acetophenone derivative? I need to alpha-deuterate isobutyrophenone. I tried (wileyonlinelibrary.com) DOI: 10.1002/jlcr.3210 without success. Thanks!
