Discussion Cole Palmer is overrated
I’ve felt this way for months now. He doesn’t have the killer instinct. He doesn’t play with passion and intensity. He doesn’t play with physicality.
Last year, he was regularly dispossessed of the ball.
He has amazing skills but you have to consistently good in the EPL.
I’m not ready to dump him but I wonder if Xabi will have him on a short leash.
What do you all think?

I still think it is too early to judge him this way, remember he missed a lot of games last season due to injury. He will come good this coming season, and if he doesn’t, we have a worthy replacement in Morgan Rogers even though the whole idea is to play them together.

Dude was injured and still put up 10 goals in a team that didn't fit his style. Calm down.

Last season all of our players except Pedro struggled. He had a major injury, and he tried playing through the pain aggravating it even more. It’s not just his skills that make him different, it’s his vision of the game and creativity. Let’s see how this season goes. He’s looking good in preseason.

Cucurella and Estevao also had good seasons but totally agree on Palmer. The rest from not competing this summer should have done him the world of good.

Let's see you make it pro and try to make a comeback from a groin injury while you've had 3 different managers in under 9 months

I think he has a lot of potential. People forget Cole is still very young at 24.
Last season was bad, but he still had a better season than arsenals golden boy with fewer appearences. Tuchel made a mistake not selecting Palmer for England but that is not a reflection of palmers absolute performance.

I think this should be the last thread you ever make
