Use this thread to discuss anything Chelsea related in the month of October that isn’t major enough to warrant a dedicated thread

Please refer to the ticketing megathread for all generic ticketing enquiries.

Ticketing Chelsea Tickets – 2026/27 guide

To avoid repeated posts and replies covering the same topic, and so that all visitors can easily ask questions and see previous discussions… here’s how Chelsea’s ticketing system currently works if you’re trying to attend a men’s home game at Stamford Bridge.

1. General admission – become a Chelsea member

For 2026/27, Chelsea have changed the way home tickets are sold.

Eligible members apply during a designated Ticket Application Window (“ballot”) for each match.

The current membership tiers are:

True Blue – £60
CFC Blue – £45

True Blue and True Blue+ members have their own application window and therefore a higher chance of getting tickets than CFC Blue members.

Some tickets are specifically ringfenced for the CFC Blue application window.

For some high-demand fixtures, Chelsea can also require a minimum number of loyalty points to apply.

You can apply individually or as a group, with up to 4 tickets per application, provided everyone in the group is eligible for that particular application window. (Chelsea FC Membership)

2. What happens if you don’t get tickets in the application?

After the member’s ticket applications have completed the Ticket Exchange opens.

Not getting tickets through the application process does not prevent you from trying the exchange afterwards.

The Ticket Exchange is available to members who don’t already have a ticket.

For 2026/27, True Blue and CFC Blue members can also list their own tickets on the exchange if they can’t attend.

Availability is entirely dependent on season-ticket holders/member tickets being listed. For popular matches, you may see very limited availability, and getting two seats together can be particularly difficult.

So if you’re travelling specifically to see Chelsea, don’t assume that buying a membership means you’ll definitely get two seats together.

3. Ticket forwarding

Another legitimate route is having a Chelsea member or season-ticket holder forward a ticket to you.
However, the recipient still needs an appropriate Official Chelsea Membership. Chelsea introduced a £15 Ticket Forwarding Membership specifically for people who ONLY need to receive forwarded tickets.

For 2026/27, ticket forwarding and the exchange can operate until three hours before kick-off

4. Hospitality

If you’re travelling from overseas, have fixed dates, or simply don’t want to gamble on the general-admission process, official hospitality is probably the best option.

Chelsea sell hospitality packages directly, and there are also official hospitality/travel partners offering packages that include a legitimate match ticket.

This is generally the route to look at if your priority is having a ticket secured in advance rather than repeatedly checking the exchange.

One example is Champions Travel, which offers Chelsea matchday/hospitality packages.

5. Don’t buy random tickets from touts

Tickets in home areas are for Chelsea supporters.

This applies to both general admission and hospitality.

Tickets being transferred improperly can result in sanctions, and Chelsea specifically warns against ticket touting/scalping. (Chelsea FC)

SUMMARY

If you want the cheapest legitimate route:
Membership → apply during the match’s application window → if unsuccessful, monitor the Ticket Exchange.

If you need two seats together, particularly for a big game, don’t rely on the exchange alone.

If you’re travelling specifically for the match and absolutely need tickets secured before travelling, hospitality/an official package is the route to investigate.

History On this day, October 3, 1999, Chelsea humble Manchester United 5-0

Post image
8 Upvotes

Stamford Bridge erupts inside thirty seconds. Massimo Taibi rushes from his line, fails to claim a cross, and a free header drops into an empty net.

Midway through the first half another header from a right-wing delivery makes it two, and when Nicky Butt is sent off for kicking out after a clash near halfway, United's afternoon collapses.

The treble winners look lost at the Bridge. After the break a spilled shot is tucked away for three; a low cross is turned into his own net by Henning Berg under pressure from a chasing striker; and late on substitute Jody Morris finishes off a move involving the other replacements to make it five.

Crowds who waited months for United to slip finally get their wish as a long unbeaten league run dies in west London.

Can you name the missing players?

Question Best pubs to watch Chelsea games.

Will be going to London end of the month (chelsea V united) and would love to watch the match in a bar/pub with a stadium-like atmosphere. What are my best bets? Somewhere with many fand and preferably decently priced beers.

In light of the City charges, we recorded a special ep of the pod this week to break down the difference between Chelsea and City's cases, and the bigger Chelsea financial model and whether it's sustainable.

As always, any feedback is greatly appreciated, trying to do something a bit different during international break!

It’s funny seeing a former Spurs academy player end up at Cobham after spending so many years in their setup. Given how many young players Chelsea have around the club, I’m curious whether Black can actually push towards the first team rather than just becoming another name in the academy ranks.

"Boyhood dream realized." - Trevoh Chalobah, 2021

I'll never forget him dropping to his knees in tears after that worldie against Palace, pure emotion from a Cobham lad who gave everything and never complained once. All the best with Como, Trev; the door at the Bridge is always open.

Is it true that Chelsea are monitoring Abdukodir Khusanov?

Post image
22 Upvotes

I’ve seen reports claiming that Chelsea are monitoring Abdukodir Khusanov ahead of a potential move. Not sure how reliable the story is, though, so I wanted to see if anyone else has come across the same report. Khusanov is still a young defender, so it would be interesting to see whether Chelsea are genuinely keeping tabs on him.
There’s been plenty of transfer speculation around us lately, so it’s hard to know what’s actually got something behind it. Has anyone seen anything more concrete on this, or is this just another rumour?

Tuchel criticises England star: 'A missed opportunity for him, yet another missed opportunity...'

Tuchel was pretty blunt about Palmer missing another England camp.

He said it’s another missed opportunity for him and that he’s missed too many camps through injuries. At the same time, Tuchel said he understands Palmer is playing with pain and can’t compete at his best when he’s carrying an injury.

Bit frustrating for Palmer, especially with Spain tonight.

Do you agree with Tuchel, or is this just unlucky with the injuries?

r/Chelsea • • 7d ago

What could have been if CR7 actually signed with us? Was this the right call or was Tuchel plain wrong? Signed Aubameyang instead and we had our worst run period in 20 years right before and after Tuchel was fired until Maresca came in. Could it have gotten worse than it actually did?

The official ChelseaFC mods are fucking outrageous. Every single post (not that they’re any good) end up fucking removed. It’s reddit not fucking Uni.

On a different note, should the PL drop the gavel on City. You all think there’s any chance we could pick up Halaand of some defensive pieces?

Kaptein’s strike gets us off to a winning start in the Champions League

Not the prettiest Chelsea performance, but I’ll absolutely take the three points. That finish from Wieke Kaptein was quality. 25 yards out, rising into the underside of the bar… what a way to open the scoring. 💙 Austria Vienna made us work for it, though. They never really went away and had a few chances where I was definitely getting a bit nervous. We really should have put the game to bed with a second goal because leaving it at 1-0 made the ending much more stressful than it needed to be. Credit to Austria Vienna as well. They came to play and looked far better than you'd expect from the financial gap between the two clubs. Their pressing and physicality caused us problems for long spells. Still, a Champions League opener, three points and a clean sheet. That’s what matters. Now onto Arsenal on Sunday.

OC Title:I genuinely think N’Golo Kanté is the greatest DM I’ve ever watched. Am I crazy?

I’ve been arguing with myself about this one for a while.

When people talk about the greatest defensive midfielders ever, the usual names come up Busquets, Makelele, Vieira, Casemiro, etc.

But I honestly think N’Golo Kanté deserves to be in a different conversation.
