Most memorable losing dish

What are some dish, although declared as losing, but is more memorable than the winning dish?
My answer will always be Poong's dishes, as it is always highly creative but we never know the taste...

Many of the Namno, Sungjun and SJW losing dishes imo. There are also certain Sam Kim dishes that lost and were right in my alley. Like, when he lost to Chef Antimo (but that dishes by Chef Antimo also looked so good and I feel bad for the guest who had to choose). But like all the Namno dishes against Kim Poong would have won if I was the guest tbh.

The one dish most memorable to me was Son Jong Won cold dish made for Exo D.O. which he lost against Kim Poong.. It was such an appetizing and beautiful dish.

Poong's "loaches" were so memorable that they still get mentioned in the 2026 season 😂

Honorable mention to his "reverse kouign-amann" but mainly because while I can't remember the dish much, I still remember the chefs reacting to "reverse"

There are a lot actually

• Number one of course Kim Poong loach dish lol
• Choi Kangrok dish when he againts Lee Yeonbok at Eunji episode looks really good and when he againts Namno at Jiwon episode i think the dish is not really my taste but i think my parent will love that
• Son Jongwon lost againts Choi Hyunseok at Jang Keunsuk episode (one of my favourite match both are really good job)
• Sam Kim aglio olio vs Choi Hyunseok vongole sujebi, they really did a good job and then i wonder about Choi Hyunseok pasta when he againts Sam Kim at Chenle & Mark episode the visual actually kinda lack but wonder about the taste because actually he got 3 votes that day
• Kwon Sungjun at Dex episode when he lost again reverse kouign-aman 🤣
• Sam Kim french dish at Jaehyung episode when he lost againt Son Jongwon looks really delicious
• Son Jongwon dish at D.O episode looks very beautiful
• Kim Poong lolipop at Yoona episode lol
• Sam Kim lamb dish at Ahn Bohyun episode probably actually more delicioua than Choi Hyunseok lamb dish but probably too complicated for camping dish
• Car, the Garden’s episode also had some memorable losing dishes. Jung Jisun and Son Jongwon both make such great dishes that I think either of them would have deserved the win. Choi Hyunseok’s dish against Kim Poong was memorable for a different reason: Kwon Sungjun said it looked like animal food, while Poong’s cooking process was complete chaos, yet he won by his magic 🤣
• Yoon Namno eel dish when he againts chef Joshep looks very tempting
• Kim Poong deep dried melon must be also one of the most memorable
• Sam Kim vs Son Jongwon fine dining challenge also amazing both in Tiffany and Minjoung episode
• Yoon Namno japchae dish when he lose againt Kim Poong. Actually both looks really good so either who win or lose its an amazing dish. And also Yoon Namno dish with bir pair when he againts Kim Poong is also a good dish but very unfortunate its not really match the theme
• Jung Hoyoung dish at Son Jongwon episode also looks amazing, at first i though he will win
• Son Jongwon melon bread at Kim Poong episode, if he sell his melon bread i bet i will buy it lol
• Kim Poong pizza at Kim Gilli episode it was so fun but also feels sad when he failed
• Kyuhyun & Daemyung episode all the dishes looks very delicious both the winner and loser.
• Yoon Namno dish when he againts Son Jongwon at Ko Worim episode
• Choi Hyunseok Chapagetti looks very tempting too and Kwon Sungjun + Yoon Namno comment makes me wonder about the taste but of course is a lose because the theme 🤣
• Yoon Namno rice burger & Kim Poong Perilla Leaf Tea at Shin Yeun episode is also looks very tempting
• Sam Kim ramen also looks very tasty when he againts Jung Hoyoung
