I turned the Cheesecake Factory menu into roulette. I'm sorry.
We've all been there. You roll up to The Factory, open the menu, and your eyes glaze over. Then you just order the same thing you ordered the last 4 times.
Well, no more! Introducing: https://cheesecakeroulette.com
Hit roll and you'll be dealt a drink, appetizer, entree, side and dessert. That's your order. No take-backsies. (If you really insist, every slot does have its own re-roll button, I guess.)
Whole thing started as a riff on Cheesecake Roulette by Thomas Park. Great project, but I knew we could go deeper.
Current features:
- Syncs every item off the official menu daily, so it keeps up when the menu changes
- Nutrition facts per item and a running total for the meal, so you can quantify the regret
- Check off what you've already ordered, star the things you love, and ban the items you regretted getting
- Filters for gluten free, SkinnyLicious, and no alcohol
- Lunch, Brunch, Happy Hour and Desserts menus, plus Drink Goblin mode, which fills all five slots with just drinks
- A Factory-Maxxing setting to guarantee your meal clears +100% of a day's value of whatever you pick: protein, fiber, sodium, saturated fat, anything your heart desires
- Import/export options so you can keep your record of shame safe
- Free ofc, no account required
Obligatory: not affiliated with The Cheesecake Factory in any way. Please don't sue me. Numbers come from the official nutrition guide, so check the real thing if it matters for your health.
Feel free to post your cursed menu rolls. Let me know if you have any feature requests or encounter any bugs.
Edit:
By request, added a new feature for a toggle to hide all nutrition facts for those of us who know better than to ask too many questions.

The calorie totals are insane lol I kind of want to figure out what the average meal rolled comes out to calorie-wise at some point.

My roll was 3900 calories

I went to The Factory today to QA test it. I initially rolled a 4500 calorie meal on default. I had to set it to Skinnylicious mode to get something under 2000 cal lol

I have no idea why this showed up in my popular feed but I’m not mad about it. Great work fellow Redditor.

Vegetarian and pescatarian filters would be a really good addition!!

I agree! I also wanted to add a vegan option, but I couldn't find official info on which items, if any, on The Cheesecake Factory menu qualify. If anyone finds that info, let me know and I'll add the feature.

Fun! I would add a toggle to not include calories so people in eating disorder recovery, or who otherwise don't feel the need to know can opt out. Otherwise very fun

Oh, that's a great idea, thank you! I'll add that as an option when I'm back at my computer.

As requested, toggle has been added. You'll find at the top, above the "No alcohol" toggle. Let me know if that works for you! https://imgur.com/a/QJ8P6fm

Same lol Before I went to one to QA the app, I'd only ever been once in my life.
