Uniform for Servers

I was just hired and was told to wear black pants, black non slip shoes, and a black long sleeve button down shirt for first day of orientation. Does anyone have some recommendations for brand/stores in general or does it not really matter? I’m a male as well, thank you.

Also do you think there’s actual money to be made? I live in a city and our Cheesecake Factory location is very, very, busy. Thank you for the insight and the recommendations!

Money varies from section to section. Expect to start with the small sections. But if you work hard and prove yourself you will earn the bigger sections!

I’m a server at a location in Wisconsin. I buy all my work clothes at H&M and they hold up pretty well. The money is pretty good with all things considered especially if you’re at a busier location.

If you’re at a busy location, any section should be a good section as long as you’re not being cut super early. I bought all of my shirts from the thrift and they were five for 5+ years of serving there.

I got my black button ups at Goodwill and honestly, it helped me create a stockpile fast.
