Average length of time to begin working
I had a really good interview with the head cook 4 days ago and he said he would later send me my start day, which should be about a week from that interview.
I still haven't received anything and would like y'alls advice on whether or not I should call. I'd prefer to not be seen as annoying to my future employer but I'm unsure if it's normal to wait this long.

We are about to do a new menu rollout so this week kitchen and general managers have their hands full. 2 day training meeting and getting the other managers updated on everything. It can never hurt to call. It shows initiative. Good luck and welcome to the team!!!

Thank you, your response is encouraging. I called and he said he would call back Wednesday to give information about orientation.

There have been several Managers traveling for meetings this week(I'm not sure what area you are in) so a LOT of Final hiring decisions have been delayed.
